13/19 98 yards 5.2 Yard Average 0 TD 0 Ints 2 Sacks 80.6 QB Rating Longest completed pass of the day 12 yards.

Ty Simpson 21-25 190 Yards 7.6 Yard Avg 2 TD 0 Ints 0 Sacks 125 QBR Longest completed pass of the day 23 yards

Same ole Nuss that we had at LSU. Didn't challenge the middle of the field, lots of check downs, and most of his completions to the boundaries for 3-6 yards.

I hate about 50% of LSU fans. Dumber than dirt.

Downvote away, but it's true.

I didn't watch it, but somebody here said he threw 2 TD passes that were called back because of OL penalties.

double the QB rating of Shadeur. i didn't expect him to compete with Mahomes until the 2nd half of the season.

he's ahead of schedule.

I sure hope this isn't the bar you're setting for Nuss. Sanders is widely viewed as a bad nfl qb.

Sometimes the defense has a vote.

Did you even watch the game? Did you see the pressure he was getting on almost every play and how he was able to escape and get a pass off?

Anyone that puts any stock in preseason stats is a moron
It happens every year

If Mahomes misses any time they will pick up another qb

If you would like to debate on why Nuss is such a great QB, we can. But remember, you argue with stats, not feelings and we all know that besides the "4k yards his junior year" crowd, they dont have much to stand on when we point out his SEC Stats his junior year.

You can like Nuss all you want because he stayed at LSU instead of transferring. But that doesnt mean hes a good QB.

While I do not think Nuss makes it in the NFL we have no reason to not root for him.

Weird. Ty Simpson is a rookie.

He had some screen passes and check downs that brought that ypc down. Also threw a deep ball that a receiver dropped. He still has issues with pressure but his accuracy was much improved over last season. Simpson looked better and is more athletic.

Why hate on him? I'd give you $10k if you could go 13/19 against a NFL defense, even preseason. If he ends up taking the career route of his father, that's a pretty damn comfortable living while doing what you love to do.

He had what would have been a beautiful 95 yard touchdown pass dropped by some brick hands receiver.

It’s a strange phenomenon, maybe generational. We didn’t hate Jamie Howard even though the Hallman years stunk and his numbers were mostly bad. We understood it wasn’t all on him.

With Mahomes and Fields as QB1 and QB2; he is auditioning for free agency. Maybe he thinks if he shows he can game manage someone will pick him up as an option.

Or he'll get stashed on a practice squad and hope to get picked up as a cheap backup once injuries start piling up as the season goes on.
