Poverty falls from 29% to 6% in poor Washington state town after data center built

Meta has really sent their hired trolls to Tigerdroppings to espouse the supposed virtues of data centers. And of course they always accuse anybody who opposes them of being a Chinese troll.

It cracks me up all the Bogalusa paper mill employees raising hell about a new solar farm that took their beloved hunting club, but using all the boogeyman tactics. Dude, you work at the thing that has ruined this town.

I drove down a highway in central Maine some time back. It was very poverty stricken. Then things started looking up and visibly improved. At the center of the improvement was a really old decrepit looking fish cannery that was still in business. After that a few dozen miles along, it faded to visible signs of poverty again.

Not exactly a data center, but...

Nobody should be celebrating the loss of land at this scale.
