Carter started an MGA this year. It’s still in the “testing phase” so no entry cost this year but so far it’s been successful. They open the course to the MGA on maintenance day (Tuesday) once a month and have several other tournaments planned and played to date.

Where did you end up? Went in Feb for the WM but only played once while there - primarily because the greens fees were through the roof that weekend.
Going back over Father’s Day weekend. Have stadium booked on Sunday but still deciding on the Saturday round. Thinking Quintero or Troon North.

It’s almost never worth trying in my opinion (for me at least). Doable? Yes. Worth triple or worse 4 holes into my round? No. Just play for par and move on.

Las Sendas was a little off the beaten path but a good experience and going to be a little cheaper than some of the Scottsdale spots.

Played a couple weeks ago. Good/normal shape then. Greens were a little shaggier than usual but probably just not rolled that day. It was midweek.

Has made their “significant” greens renovation public and are beating the drum for new memberships. Curious to see how extensive these renovations will be.

Had it bad in both elbows all of last year. Saw an ortho who confirmed they don’t do the shot for tennis elbow anymore because they’ve found it does not help the issue and only prolongs healing. They gave me a series of exercises to do, wrist braces to sleep in, and meloxicam for bad flare ups. All of which helped, but the theraband made the most progress along with some golf mechanics adjustments. Still have some flare ups in my right elbow if I play more than usual, but it’s manageable now.

Word on the street is Oak Knoll in Hammond is finally going to redo all the greens this winter. Not sure to what extent or if it will be a full redesign but they’re well past due for the renovation.

Had a stealth bought 2nd hand after the stealth 2 came out. Blew the face off at the range. Taylormade replaced with a Qi10 no questions asked. For that reason alone, it’s a winner in my eyes.
It’s also a good bit longer than the stealth.

I’m a member at Carter. They punched 7/23. Played yesterday, 8/25. Fully healed and lightning fast.
