Lubbock and Nashville

Posted by yadaddy on 11/21/25 at 12:15 pm
I'll make no positive claims here and like everyone else here, I hope it's Lane but truly have no clue.

Looking at flight logs in and out of BTR and everything seems relatively normal except for one flight flying to BTR from Lubbock currently. After looking into it, that same plane flew round trip to Nashville yesterday, and is scheduled to do so again this afternoon. Plane owned by MMR.

That could mean literally nothing, but it begs the question if Joey Maguire and Clark Lea are being vetted. Neither of which were high on the assumed list, so I'm not making any assumptions... more so asking if anyone has any insight or if this is a complete nothing burger.

It doesn't matter when comparing 2 teams with BCR's above 50%... it is a massive tell for teams who can't win a title though. Since that metric started being recorded, there's not a single national champion who had a BCR of less than 50%

Most recently, Washington and TCU were below 50% when they went to the Championship and we saw how those worked out. When it comes to playing your last game for all that marbles you need a star studded roster and 4 stars who can fill in for injuries or fatigue.

I will say this though... We have a better BCR currently than these teams did when they won a title: Michigan (23), LSU (2019), Clemson (2018), Clemson (2016), Ohio State (2014), Florida State (2013), Bama (2012), Bama (2011)

I hear where you're coming from but it's not true. Defensive movement pre-snap is the same as offensive motion. The whole point of DL movement is to make the QB make gap reads, communicate with his center, and then change it so they have to adjust, or snap the ball anyway if the play-clock is low. Different stunts and assignments are run out of different gap techniques and the movement disguises it. Same as a safety creeping down into the box after coming out in a 2-high set or otherwise.

Also, neutral zone infractions already exist. It's the offense's job not to start before the ball is snapped. The defense, at every other position but DL apparently, can move freely pre-snap so long as they don't cross the line of scrimmage.

Converting to Catholicism is the one thing I have done in my life that I know with absolute certainty was the right thing to do.

What learning material would you recommend to a once catholic, now protestant, person? I have no interest in arguing or putting down other belief systems... the goal is just to be aligned with scripture, and if you believe you've found that in Catholicism, I'd love to do that same learning. Trent is tough for me though, I'll be honest.

out of curiosity, do you find that the faith has truly remained in the family, or is it the tradition of following a certain denomination that has become a staple? And I ask that respectfully... same could be asked about any denomination to anyone whose family has a generational belief system. I'm not implying that this is a bad thing either, so I hope the question isn't received in way that's unintended.

Similar story here. Baptized and confirmed into Roman Catholicism but as I got into my 20s my beliefs looked much more like a reformed baptist or PCA presbyterian. Was certainly a point of contention at first but much less now.
Regardless of your religion or denomination, at what age did you get involved in it and is it the same as your parents? If it IS different from your parents, was faith a point of contention for a sustained period of time?

Not looking for arguments at all... just curious to see the different ways the OT got involved in their respective faiths.
Perk, Weeks, Pyburn... Interested to see the safety play but with Stamps, Delane, and Pickett as viable corner options I feel better about the defense than I have in several years.

OL determines how good you can be this year. Defense may not be elite status, but it's good enough to get you to the playoffs if we have a formidable OL
The album that just released has 37 songs on it so we'll see how many of them hit the charts next week.

The previous album, One Thing at a Time (2023), had 36 songs. All 36 hit the Hot100 chart in the first week, which is the record for most songs by a single artist to hit the charts simultaneously.

Dangerous (2023) had 27 out of 30 songs hit the charts. 6 made the top 10 and the album spent 19 weeks at the top of the all-genre best album chart. That broke Garth's record for Ropin the Wind (18 weeks)

Morgan's music may not be everyone's taste, but 63/66 making the hot100 is pretty wild.

Luke Combs
Zach Bryan
Garth Brooks

I'm a fan of country music and I recognize that Morgan doesn't exactly fit that mold. The guy makes hits though and I enjoy his music. He's released over 100 songs across 3 albums in the last 4 years, and a large majority of them have hit the charts at one time or another. Some people say that waters down the music but I personally find it impressive
McKinley, Breaux, and Pyburn put hands in the dirt

Perkins off the weak side edge

Weeks and Keys over the middle

Stamps and Delane on the corners

Spears and Gilbert at safety (potentially Toviano over Gilbert?)

Woodland or Pickett at Nickel

Let Coach Baker draw up the coverage and enjoy whatever your sippin on
Cam Carter shot 39% from 3 this year. I get that he technically didn't cross over into the 40% range but that's more than sufficient on a semi-decent team.
supposedly he runs a 4.34, which is the exact time Trindon Holiday ran back in the day. Granted, Brown's 40 likely wasn't laser timed and 4.34 isn't breaking records at the combine... but it's still MOVIN

Can't say it was the best freshman season, but Zach Hess was really fun to watch after we moved him to the pen and let him close out games

NATO vs Russia

Admittedly, I'm no scholar on this and am not well-read on the nuances of BRICS currency. However, I find it hard to believe that we're just looking at France, Germany, Poland, and Ukraine vs Russia, with Turkey playing peace maker.

I immediately thought that BRICS nations, who have a vested interest in the Ruble, would also join the fight if European nations do so. Egypt and Saudi Arabia are about as far from Turkey as Turkey is from the Ukranie/Russia battle front so I would expect them to be pretty involved if this progresses further.

If I'm an idiot, let me have it... but I'm failing to understand why all the conversation is just about Russia and not about the potential of a war of the biggest magnitude we've ever seen.

If Christianity was followed perfectly we’d have no need for politicians or government.

I think in many ways the best political platform IS the Christian worldview and model of justice. Our governmental system is largely built on the book of Deuteronomy.

Also, I'd substitute the word "Righteousness" in place of Christianity because I don't necessarily see Christianity as an action or set of laws. That said, I don't think it's possible to live in a world that achieved righteousness apart from Christ, even theoretically. In a perfectly righteous world, there's no need for Christ, thus no basis for Righteousness. It's a catch 22 because absolute righteousness can only be granted by God Himself, post judgement in His presence.

In the meantime, our political stance as Christians shouldn't be defined by a letter, but by His word, and faith in His sovereignty to see His will done.
didn't they just put out an ad saying they removed degree necessities for 90% of jobs and that "equity is the motive"?

As a dropout myself, who recognizes the stupidity in that ad for an airliner... this all checks out.
I think, more than anything, this passage is about our need for God to change our hearts. Everything mentioned is outside of natural human instinct and desire but it's a clear set of commands given to the disciples. Considering the context of the rest of the chapter, that isn't shown, I believe He's calling the disciples to reflect on their own lives and more deeply understand their need for Jesus, even as followers of Him.

This is one of the beauties of being a Christian. The stronger you grow in your own faith you realize how far from Christ and underserving of grace you are, while your love for God and appreciation for his mercy deepens.

He's not calling them to be pacifists. He's calling them to righteousness through a Heart changed by God.

Don't disagree as long as there's no communication. Until "fans" start "donating" with elephants, alligators, eagles, and oranges in the comments. If comments are allowed, it feels like the birth of paying kids to transfer.
