Maybe Les should have let JC Copeland actually play DT instead of wasting him at fullback. He might have been like Deuce Geralds.

Kiffin has a history of lining up D-linemen to run the ball in short yardage/goal line situations. Would not be surprised one bit if Geralds has already been taking snaps there behind closed doors.

I remember a reporter mention he saw Deuce lined up in the wildcat/goal line formation as this spring... I think LK was a little peeved that was brought up in the presser. We'll def see Deuce get the ball this year.

He's absolutely an option inside the 3 yard line. Hard to stop a 285 pound wrecking ball with a good head of steam.

To be fair he asked the media before hand to not ask questions related to competition advantage or they will lose their privilege. And then the question was asked. It was ill timed. I would have been ticked if I were Lane too. He is very superstitious when it comes to competitive advantages. I actually am surprised the media is allowed to be at the practices at all. I would almost rather there be zero access to avoid some of the speculation coming out of camp.

JC was 5’10-11 whereas Deuce is right at 6’1 with a plus wingspan. Les made the mistake of not slimming JC down and increasing his skill ability. Dude was a freak athlete lowkey.

I think these clips are from Georgia, where Deuce played.

It's their tradition to wear Orange vs EA. Only game of the year that they wear orange I believe

H Back - Runs, Catches Blocks on the corner
TE opposite Green when Green is doubled.

I absolute love this kids speed, strength, quickness and power.
I hope Lane makes his a two way player and uses all his obvious talent.
LSU certainly needs all that inside the red zone based on our recent performances.

Do not let him get too heavy. LSU has done that to too many talented young players with quickness/Speed, only to watch his strengths dissipate with with the added size.
He is perfect for a DE.....quick , agile, great vision.....get him out of the wash in the middle. Let him use his quickness, he is plenty strong already.
