Was there some story about a guy in Germany building one of these in his basement then having it siezed/destroyed due to German rules about not celebrating Nazism stuff?

After the wall fell, a guy tried to sell my family a T-34 for a bunch of Levi's jeans in Budapest.

They were still using T-34s during the Bosnian Civil War in the 90s…
Some had rubber matting added as some sort of protection…
My only guess is they were worried about magnetic mines?

@ Vadar,
Those were the ones with the 75 longs?
I think they wound up in the latter part of Africa Corps?
Would be totally cool to own but not for no 1.5 to 2.5 price, jus a wee bit out of my budget. Would be cool the hoity tooth places around with their Beemers, Mercedes, and exotics. They might be faster or more comfy but I could crush them all!
