How concerning is it that LSU only has 3 of the top in LA committed for 2027?

Not very.

The new way of building a roster is similar to the pros. There is a cap on the money and we have more needs than a really good, fast, slot-type WR.

As long as these highshchool kids are asking for 7 figures, we are going to let them walk. When the NCAA finally gets the guard rails on the money getting thrown, then you will probably see LSU shift back to the way it used to be.

If that’s the case, then why did Lane leave Ole Miss?

Based on what you saw Saturday night, which do you think we need more, elite Olinemen or an unproven elite receiver?

He left because of the potential to build a program into a perennial NC contender. The ability of LSU to target elite players OOS along with the natural talent in state is the primary basis for that.

Are you concerned?

Did LSU ever really go after any of these dudes out side of Easton Royal?

We got pop instead of Haven, I'm sure we probably would have taken Albert Simien not sure his situation but doesn't seem like those other guys were heavily prioritized.

Stop asking questions you aren't smart enough to comprehend the answers to.

He's tired of paying High School recruits who need at least a year to be ready to contribute, then leave after not playing that much as a freshman.

He wants players that can come in and play right away - Portal Players.

As soon as sanity returns to college football statuaries will change.Im not paying a HS kid millions with out knowing he can cantribute heavily.Pay the guy who has shown he’s a man and has skins on the wall, that’s common sense.

Because they are 49 other states in America, that have good players, too. We don’t have to get all of them from Louisiana.

Lane said he will only pay HS recruits he feel are so elite they can contribute day 1. Maybe Royal is not as good as he thinks or maybe he's just waiting to bid him up come signing day. You see the DL class we just brought in? That's what he's talking about. Top heavy. Sign maybe 10 guys all elite enough to contribute maybe day 1. Deuce Geralds has big potential we haven't had a freshman DL this good in awhile.

Becasue if it shifts back toward the way it was, LSU is a much better job than OM.

We’re always at our best when the best players from Louisiana are on LSU’s roster. Doesn’t matter the era or circumstances surrounding college sports.
