Pure stubbornness. Lane was hell bent on not giving Trinidad big plays over the top but it still lead to him throwing for nearly 250 yards in a half. His ties to Trinidad ended up working against us when it came to the initial gameplan he clearly had too much respect for his ability and crafted a scared game plan.
Funny enough our more aggressive man coverage heavy 2nd half held him to only 112 passing yards and less than 60 percent completion percentage.

Every team is going to mix it up today. It’s just a matter of how much. A well-disguised zone will frick up a lot of college QBs. The key is not busting or leaving assignments and not being too passive and reactive.
