LSU will not agree to any punishment.

Yes, but did you notice when Sark announced it, he was quick to say it had nothing to do with the recent rule changes, it was some other NCAA issue. LOL. You will never hear what the other was. You know good and damn well Sankey went to Sark and told him what to say for an out.

However, Section 3.1.5 of the SEC Constitution and Bylaws grants the SEC's presidents and chancellors "plenary power and authority with respect to all affairs of the Conference of any type or nature whatsoever." The bylaws explicitly state that the leaders may take these actions "in their sole discretion."
There is no requirement for: (1) proof that LSU broke a rule, or (2) an allegation that LSU broke a rule.
Thus, the procedure for the SEC to issue penalties requires only two steps: (1) the SEC Commissioner issues a notice to call a Special Meeting of the conference leaders; (2) at least two-thirds of the conference leaders (11 out of 16) must vote in favor of the penalties.
No charge. No evidence. No hearing.

I don’t think there will be any punishment. I think the sec wants this to go away. I think lsu wants it to go away.
However, if they do try to punish lsu or Kiffin, I hope the other schools recognize the precedent being set.

The complete lack of independent arbitration or fact finding in the SEC bylaws is absurd.
All it takes is the other schools to decide to gang up on you and they can do whatever they want. Your only recourse is to threaten litigation.

LSU better not accept any fkn penalties, I don't even care if they are token. There are fkn teams in the SEC that ACTUALLY DID play these players, and not a word. You have a fkn 6th year qb, who was denied twice by the NCAA, only to have an OM alum issue an injunction to allow him to play. Not a word about an oxford Kangaroo Court. FK the SEC.
LSU has them by the balls in many different areas, and could win a massive suit, and the SEC knows it. I'd say tread lightly SEC. Sankey is gone I guarantee you, and honestly, Tenn needs to get rid of that liberal freak in Knoxville.

Why would this be the line? The Texas linemen was at the Cowboys camp, wearing a Dallas jersey practicing with members of the team.

Earlier threads were insinuating that was a big part of the issue. Don’t shoot the messenger. Anyone can go on a practice field and put a jersey on if asked to. I thought signing the contract was the issue?
