Wtf?

It’ll just slow you down. Finding a place to park it, going to find it after they rearrange them, trying to keep them dry during thunderstorms, getting them in and off the bus... you get my drift.
All of this takes 10-15 minutes max out of your day. And most of it is just walking to and from the ride/restaurant to the designated stroller parking areas. You think that’s enough to force a parent to change his or her mind about going? Seriously?

I've never had that much issue with a stroller, especially parking it, but I stick to the cheap and light fold up ones that are real easy to take anywhere. They have fancy versions that have storage and lay back. I wouldn't want to deal with the massive ones in the park, especially those giant plastic blue ones.

Just have your family get in line and go park the stroller and catch up to them, it's not that hard.

It's nice to have a mobile shady spot for them to take a quick nap.

This. Rent it OP, worst case scenario it was $100 wasted. That's a hell of a lot better than dealing with a miserable 6-7 year old at 6:30 pm that's exhausted when you have to walk across the park to your next destination.

Its not absolutely necessary, but if you can help your kid walk 5 miles instead of 6 and have a better time I think its worth it. If your kids are happier you are a happier. Its also a place to store a small cooler of water and snacks and crap your kids buy.

I think if a 7 year old needs a stroller, you should rethink ALOT!

Some would, some wouldn't. I posted earlier in the thread that I wouldn't use one but I don't fault parents who feel the need depending on group size, the kid(s), etc. I gave the OP a free option that could work if he's flying. If they kids don't need it, then leave it in the room. No big deal.

Went in May with a 5 and 7 year old. The 7 year old got tired one night out of 7 and we put him in the stroller, which he barely fit in. The 5 year old was in and out the entire trip. Our trips consist of one park in the morning, a 2-3 hour break during the middle of the day to rest, eat or swim and then another park to closing time.

The kids went back in November with their grandparents and they walked the entire time.

We wont be using a stroller ever again. With that said, my kids are outside kids and play sports, they have no clue what Fortnight is.

A stroller is the exact opposite of being slowed down. It allows you to keep going when they get tired.

You can do some things in AK but the assertion that Animal Kingdom is a half day park is incorrect.

Do your kids like the pod QS in pandora?
Might do that in the evening, hitting Tusker House in the morning

Yeah...I think it’s a but doughy but they’re good. My wife and I love the bowls there. Probably my “new” favorite quick service.

(The fish option/bowl was recently removed which sucks) but even the tofu isn’t bad.

I’d definitely recommend it and if you’re paying out of pocket with no discounts definitely try the mobile ordering...it cuts down on the wait Big time.

This is what you need, We had a 6 and 7 year old and it was perfect, got us out of so many jambs. This is where we rented ours also. We just got back about 2 weeks ago.

Edit: you want the Keenz Premium Stroller Wagon

Exactly. And we are not saying that the 6-7 year old uses it routinely. Heck you can park the stroller some where central and leave it most of the day. It’s really just for the end of the day when they get worn down and need a rest.

I love people acting like a 7 year old has the same stamina and poise as an adult.

last time I was at Disney everyone under 14 was in a stroller. Everyone over 40 was on some sort of cart. I don’t think anyone walks anymore.

I know right. I wish I could last as long as my 6 & 8 year olds.

I would go with yes because of all of the walking. More so for the 6 YO. Rent from Kingdom Strollers and add the insurance.

Definitely rent one of the double jogging strollers. The kids are young enough that they’ll definitely use it, it’s only around $100, and you can use the folds of the canopy cover to sneak booze into the parks (pro Disney tip).

My oldest is 7 and he did fine with a stroller this year. You can get a double jogging stroller for $100 for a week. Even if they don’t use it all the time it keeps you from carrying a backpack or anything else. We bring an ice chest and bag of snacks as well as ponchos and a change of clothes for after splash mountain. Having a stroller allows that to be easy. It’s not for taking naps. It for keeping them rested and not complaining. You walk 10 miles a day. At the end you walk back to car or transportation center and they are exhausted. I’ll keep renting one as long as they aren’t too big. I’d say 8-9 is that cutoff. 48” is the recommended height but a kid up to 54” could still be fine in it.

Orlando

All of these are good companies to rent from

With out a doubt yes. Place to stash things. Place for them to sleep. And it’s easier to throw them in the stroller when walking across the park.
