I want to be one of those people that can sleep on the plane. Feel that I need a good setup of noise canceling headphones and perhaps a neck pillow. Saw some Indian dude today at the airport in Chicago. Dude was laid out on the floor and snoring logs as hundreds of people walked by him. I was jealous.

Any other gadgets or gizmos that the Travel Board recommends?

Some people just aren't concerned about cleanliness.

neck pillow, earbuds (Mine aren't noise canceling but I can't hear anything with my music playing) .5mg xanax and a couple of beers. I only do this on flights to europe....and some people can just sleep anywhere but I'm not one of them.

How do people get their hands on xanax so freely? Puzzling to me

I cannot sleep on planes, unless I'm in lay flat biz, and often not even then

I usually don't even bother in economy. I've tried neck pillows and all kinds of other devices. Nothing works for me

Some people can just sleep anywhere.

Luckily, I'm one of those people. I just tilt my head forward and fall asleep. Unfortunately, as I've aged, I can't do that anymore because I'll wake up with a sore neck, but when I was younger its all I did.

But as long as I have something to rest my head on, I can sleep.

If I take a gummy before my flight, I may not move until we land

Most doctors will gladly provide a patient about to journey on a long flight with a couple xanies. Just hit your primary up next time. Even my tee totaling, by the book dr. Bro-in-law will dole me out a few.

My doctor will give me a script if I tell him it's for flying but I've also bummed a couple off one of my wife's friends that has them.

Cheap jbl over the ear headphones or my anker in ear. I’ve got a plane playlist on my Spotify which is saved on my garmin watch for internet free listening(mostly ocean waves , thunderstorms , crackling fire sounds etc ). Neck pillow. Whatever shades I’ve got on that day for my eyes.

Edit - trazadone/xanax combo helps but don’t get rowdy or you’ll be in a coma once the plane lands. This typically helps me sleep on overnight international long flights. . My doctor is cool but I actually need the Xanax occasionally.
