What is the nicest hotel you've stayed in?

Trump hotel in Chicago is the nicest place I've stayed. The gym/spa was awesome. They also did so much for our kids (swag bags, robes, slippers, snack trays and chocolate dipped strawberries). It was the only place I've stayed where I felt like paying extra was really worth it.

Castle Elvira in Puglia, IT

In August though I’ll be staying at a nicer hotel called Casa Maria Luigia. It’s owned and operated by Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana.

The Inn at Biltmore about 20 years ago stands out to me as being the nicest. No idea what it's like now, but even as a kid I knew it was the best place I've stayed.

ETA: The best bed I've had at a hotel was the one at the MGM Grand in Detroit about a year after it opened. Everything in that place was pristine at that time. Took me completely off guard but felt I had to mention it

4 seasons Aviara, San Diego.

Won an award at work and was sent there as part of it. Unreal service. I was 26 and never been to the west coast before.

The Palace of the Lost City in Sun City, South Africa

We were supposed to stay in some mediocre hotel and they upgraded us because it was full due to some convention.

In my mind there are two that stand out. The Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa in Interlaken and the other is The Gran Hotel Miramar in Malaga, Spain. The service and accommodations at both were impeccable. Flawless in every way.

Llao Llao on Bariloche was legit.
Turtle Inn in Palencia was at the top.
JW in Maldives probably the best though.
Hakone Gora was my favorite.

AF08 just back from Modena and that whole are. If you can get to Ferrara got have a meal at Trattoria de Noemi

Recently stayed at Villa le Calvane in the Tuscan hills. That hotel is tops right now.

Modena is amazing. Went back in 2019 and ate at OF.

We won’t be in Modena this time but not too far away.

Never really stayed anywhere too crazy. Nicest was probably Sheraton in Changzhou, China for work. I just looked and it's ~$80/night.

The Four Seasons Lanai

Stayed at the ritz kapalua and the four seasons made it seem like a holiday inn. Crazy resort. Highly recommend
