Which would you choose? You have one day at each.

Haven't been to Auschwitz but I'm sure it would be interesting from a historical standpoint. I've spent the most time in Prague, and it gets pretty boring after a while, but I guess it depends on your personal taste. If it's only one day you can find plenty to do. If I had to rank them it would probably be:
Budapest
Prague
Vienna

Prague
Budapest
Vienna

Not only are those there great cities, but you're on vacation, don't go to Auschwitz. It's going to bum you out.

I've done the first three, but several days in each city. I would pair Auschwitz with Krakow and Warsaw.

Done all four. Glad I went to Auschwitz, but I never want to go back.

Vienna and Prague are fantastic places to visit two of my favorite places in Europe.

If I had to pick two, it would be Prague and Vienna. Budapest is alright - pretty at night.

Is this for you? If so, bad idea to choose 3 for a day each. Choose one for 3 days. If so, do Prague or Budapest

Prague Budapest and Vienna, although I'd rather go see Auschwitz than go back to Vienna (I just don't think it makes much sense with the other two cities).

Three cities in three days? I would go to Vienna and stay there for three days.

I’d leave out Vienna as one day doesn’t even come close to letting you get a feel for it.

Auschwitz is the no-brainer to be on the list.

I couldn’t imagine a second day there but it is so significant (to me) that I’d go.

Prague & Budapest are geographically compact enough to get a feel for them in a single day. No way to properly see everything there obviously but afterwards you could know where everything you missed there was. (If that makes any sense)

If this is merely an academic exercise, then that’s my answer.

If I knew I was never going back to Europe ever, I’d change to Prague, Vienna, & Auschwitz.

Loved all three and you can't hate going to either, my favorite three in order:

Budapest
Prague
Vienna

Auschwitz is an excellent place to visit for historical purposes, but it is pretty depressing to go through there too, which is why I would only recommend going to it once.
