I flew into BTR this afternoon, what a shitshow

You would think a little region airport would be more efficient

I like the BR airport other than the lack of direct flights. Show up 45 minutes before your flight and be the 4th person in line at security

Same here, I arrived 20 minutes before boarding and walked straight to the gate and waited 10 minutes to get on the plane. Flying out of BTR is great for me.

I’m fairly certain BTR is only being kept open by subsidies. Last time I flew out they had ground crew operating the ticket counter.

Not unusual for smaller airports. My brother-in-law shows up 15 minutes before his departure times at JAN and has never had a problem.

I find flying out of big international airports a waste of time for anything under a 9-10 hour drive. You spend 3-4 hours being processed by the airlines and Lord forbid you have to make a connection.

Common at most regionals. I’ve known people who work check in counter, gate, and ground crew.

Unless I’m checking luggage I never worry about getting there too early - it’s a breeze

I exclusively fly into BTR when visiting family. Its always quick.
