Let's say you are traveling to a location 8 hrs away. If you are lucky enough to have a direct flight you have 45 minutes to the airport, 2 hrs arrival and wait, 20 minutes to park, 20 minutes for bags, 20 minutes for rental.

Hell, you paid hundreds of dollars to maybe shave 3-4 hours or so off the trip and that's if everything goes flawless. If you have a connection you basically save nothing. I completely understand flying from New Orleans to Seattle though.

I do remember driving home from Canton Ohio on Christmas Eve because the pilot's seat had a broken spring

I wish more of TD would stop flying out of MSY.
