We have a Mediterranean Cruise ( Italy, Spain, France) booked for my son and his fiancé for their honeymoon in July. Unfortunately, we will have to cancel their cruise and they are now trying to decide where else to go. They would be willing to fly to Europe, but with the Covid situation, that might not be a good idea. They are looking at other options.... Hawaii, etc. An all inclusive would be wonderful.

All inclusive resorts typically have the biggest staffs which lend themselves to more fingers in more hands getting into food and drinks. That might be the last place I seen them to if they are conscious of Covid

I really like Kauai. Laid back, and the food is great! Lots to see and do in regards to the outdoors. I was married on Shipwrecks Beach next to the Hyatt and have been back to visit. It’s not a very “touristy” or party type of island.. after 8 pm it’s fairly dead. If they want more night life Maui might offer more.
Really enjoyed the catamaran dinner cruise and helicopter tour.

FWIW, we went to Maui and Kaui for our honeymoon many moons ago. Loved Kaui. Shipwreck Beach (Poipu). Rented a condo.

I just got back from a resort in the Maldives, and it was incredibly romantic.

I always wanted to go to that place. Might be the greatest island destination in the Caribbean. St. Vincent and the Grenadines apparently allow travelers from America, provided they can present a negative coronavirus test.

Entrance Requirements.

We went to Kauai in 2019 with a couple of friends. Booked everything through travel agent I use sometimes. He was able to get us a great deal, great rooms and also breakfast buffet every morning. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt which I highly suggest! We like this because we were out doing stuff during the day and usually went to a local spot for dinner/drinks.

Most doctors I know, including a neighbor that headed up the Phase 3 trials here at a local hospital system, aren't afraid for their patients flying. It's the interaction up to boarding potentially, so just distance, wear a mask, hand wash etc.

Bigger question is "where can we actually fly to"?

Where Americans Can Fly Right Now.

A plane's a plane, so if flying is the issue, find somewhere they can drive to like Blackberry Farm.

Hawaii. 25 years ago I chose Europe over Hawaii for our honeymoon. In retrospect I would choose Hawaii. Newlyweds should spend time relaxing after the stress of a wedding.

We are paying for their honeymoon; our wedding gift to them, so they want our input. We will be happy with their decision no matter where they decide to go.

You're a generous parent!
Gotta say, I'd not choose an international destination right now. A stateside option--like Blackberry Farm--will present far fewer logistical problems. They'll be married a long time (hopefully), so they can hit up a big international destination on their first anniversary or subsequent important dates.

Two additional domestic spots worth considering: the Phoenician in Scottsdale and Twin Farms in Vermont.

Why not do a cheap(er) domestic trip and have the one they originally planned on the back burner for whenever they’re able to go?

I mean, who would hate going to Napa for a brief honeymoon and then going to Europe a year or so later?

Exactly what we are doing with a stop in Lake Tahoe while we are there.
