I always enjoyed the thread of the guy who lived next to the tow truck driver and had major issues

Yea you are definitely over spanning 2-2x12s. Look at the link below in the floor load table. For a 16’ span your looking for total allowable load = 150 plf and allowable live load = 100 plf
Hint, a 1.75x11.875 LVL or 2-1.75x9.5 LVLs work

Do yourself a favor and find a structural engineer. Trays are a complex framing system which typically require pretty heavy LVLs

One Time Close Construction Loans

As the title states, does anyone know of any lenders providing a one-time close construction to 30yr fixed mortgage? In the Fairhope/Daphne area.

Thanks!

re: Foundation Wall Missed The Footers

SE here. I am 100% having them fix this to provide full block bearing on the footing. The last thing you want is a foundation failure because someone did bad work and the GC talked you into accepting it.

Of equal concern to me would be the lack of vertical dowels connecting the footing to the CMU wall.

That is a must.
No shot, it is already hard enough to work a 40 hr work week. No way it could be done with a 4 day school week.

Business - HYSA

Posted by PolarPop5 on 7/19/24 at 10:54 am
I recently started a small company (LLC) and am looking for a high-yield savings to keep some cash on hand. Capital One (who has a great personal HYSA) offers a business savings but the rates after the introductory offer are <1%. Who are you using for your business HYSA’s?

re: What HYSA do you recommend?

Not to hijack, but I have my personal HYSA with C1. Who do yall recommend for HYSA’s for a company (sole proprietor LLC)? C1 business savings don't have nearly the rates as the personal account.
