I am traveling to Barcelona in 2 weeks for work. We will have about 2 days of free time before the conference starts. We went last year and hit all the big heavy hitters like the Sagrada Familia, Gothic Quarter, Olympic Stadium, Fort on top of Montjuic, Montserrat, and the beach. What are some must dos and restaurants we should go to for those 2 days before? We also checked out that big market

Camp Nou. There's a chocolate academy/training school in the Gothic quarter that has some neat sculptures if you haven't been.

Camp Nou.

Don't sleep on watching Spanish league basketball next door. I was in Barcelona during the NY soccer break and watched FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid in basketball instead.

Looks like league playoffs are going on. If FC Barcelona gets another home game I'd hop on that if you can OP.

Get out of old town and see some of the rest of the city. Eixample for example.

Didn't see Parc Guell in your already list, and its a must see. Also, there's a really nice Banksy museum in the city.
Great, relatively unknown, restaurant is Ziryab, middle eastern influenced tapas.
Another great place to visit is the Palau de la Música Catalana, stunningly beautiful concert hall. They have tours during the day and live music most nights. The history behind the place is amazing but its just beautiful to look at.

I agree that Park Guell is a must see. They limit capacity and you have to buy tickets in advance. They sell out. Buy tickets for the park as soon as you know the weather will be nice for that day.

Favorite hotel is Bornetta. Perfect location in El Born across from the Citadel Park and there is a hop on hop off bus stop right outside.

Good restaurants near there are Llamber right around the corner, Arcano a few blocks away and Tapeo, a lively and modern tapas bar with gourmet food.
Tast Ller is the best restaurant we went to. It is a tiny place with a set tasting menu but the food is delicious.

We really enjoyed a performance at the Palace of Catalan Music. The Juan Miro museum is world class but I’d only go if you like his art.

And definitely recommend these places:

Prado de Flores

I was there in February, we found a great restauartant that everyone loved. There will be a line if you try to go after 8pm, but it is worth it. My wife liked it so much that we ate there 3 times in one week.

The apartment buildings Gaudi designed are worth a visit. Casa Mila is his best known of these. As for food, I would suggest some places out of the touristy areas such as Bodega Podium which specializes in the traditional Copa i pota (Veal head and cheeks). Koska Taberna, just a small local tapas bar. And in the same area , La Platilleria which is another small tapas bar but a bit more upscale. I would also watch this guy's Youtube Guides where he goes to local, non-touristy tapas bars. We used his guides for Madrid and San Sebastian and every place he suggested was great.

And definitely try Vermut (vermouth). It is a very popular drink of vermouth, a drop of camparai and an orange slice and is very refreshing.

We just returned from a month in Spain. Barcelona is a great city. Two restaurants on different ends of the cost spectrum but both very good. Lasarte, 3 star Michelin with incredible food but very pricey and Arcano Restaurant Cave. Can’t go wrong with either.

Bar Mut for restaurants. Fantastic seafood and tapas place. Make reservations. It's tiny reservations are a must.
