Other Canadains consider Newfoundland their crazy house. Even their weird 30 minutes ahead is off kilter.

They’re allowing and have in some cases been proven to be financing via their universities illegals coming in with the intent of moving through to the US.
Trump is saying they have to stop letting illegals in because they’re being used as a way station to the US just like Mexico was facilitating the flow of central and South Americans illegals to the US.
Stop the flow of drugs and illegals or be treated as a hostile nation, it’s that simple.

Twice. Early 80s, late 80s. Drove over the border with parents.
So, technically I did visit. But such a kid I don't think it counts. Saw Niagara Falls both times. As an adult, perhaps I would now be impressed but gotta say.....
I dunno. As a kid I expected falls covering my entire field of vision, far as I could see. But....it was still kinda cool. Did not blow my mind, honestly was more enamored with my kitty cocktail.

Crossed in a car a few times.
Once was with a guy who was from Lebanon (Christian with a green card) and it was funny to hear the border guys trying to trip him up with questions when we re-entered the U.S.
The other time I was a passenger and the driver was a guy who was a few years younger who grew up in Minnesota. I was drinking a big Labatt’s Blue and he freaked out when we got close to the border. I don’t think Louisiana had open container laws back then. The border guards didn’t care either.

Taught a course on motion tracking a couple of times in Toronto. A lot of nice people who seem to like really bland food.
Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The Marriott overlooking the falls provides a picture window looking right down into the falls. My wife squealed with awe seeing it.

Off and on for almost 40 years..I did a lot of work in Ontario and the Maritimes for Sobeys and went into Toronto a few times. Used to go to Vancouver a lot when I lived in Seattle. Been to Montreal and Quebec City a couple of times. SO and I had a great time in the Banff and Golden area 2 years ago and also just spent 3 weeks in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland last year. It's a nice place to visit to get out of the Texas heat in the summer.
I have had a great time in Canada and the people are always nice..just too bad they are stuck with the horrible national government.
It might be a good time to pick up some Canadian currency if you are planning a trip there in the near future.

When I was a kid in 76, we drove across near Montreal. Don’t think we even stopped.
Coming back at Niagara Falls, my father had to show his drivers license to the Americans.
No big deal.

Both. I've flown into Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax. I've driven from Bangore, ME to Fredericton and Saint John, NB.
Eta
On crossing via car, the Canadian border agents were a pain in the arse. I may have been the only car they saw that day, but they kept me there for an hour grilling me about what I was doing, why the client i was working didn't use a Canadian company, etc. Then they made me call my client contact to confirm everything I said was true.
Going back into Maine, I don't even know if I fully stopped my car. Just got waved on through.

We do
Yeah, sure. By all means, let's not control the import or manufacture of fentanyl. Let's wait until it's hidden inside the plastic frames of televisions before we try to do something.
fricking dumbass democrats.

many times. never had an issue. always flying except 2 times when i was young which were both awesome
don't remember this from the first one. i was 12 years old. me, my dad and a few of his buddies and their kids went fishing on the canada side boundary waters for a week, drove a giant rv up there. seems dad's buddy pat stashed his weed in my backpack figuring they wouldn't search a kid. worth noting - he had 2 of his kids in tow. apparently there was a fistfight when this came to light
second time was in college, one of those spring break or bust ski packages mostly based on canada's drinking age being 18. took a train from dc to montreal. had a bunch of weed, some other things. we were sweating bullets at the border but they just asked you hold you passport up and a heavily armed canadian walked down the aisle and kind of glanced at them

I used to go back and forth between my house in Seattle and my Japanese girlfriends apartment in Vancouver every week for over a year. Car, bus, plane and train. I also went to Whistler a lot for skiing and snowboarding. It was always a pain in the arse to get through Canadian customs. They always suspected that somebody was going to go there and live off their "wonderful" dole system.

Getting in to Canada is much more difficult than getting back into the US. Toronto Airport is a cluster frick. Most International Canadian airports have US immigration so you don't have to do it when you land in your US city. Vancuever, Toronto, Halifax all had it.

So wrong! Nova Scotia's coast is one of the most breathtaking places on earth.

Yes, twice by driving. Once in the mid 80s to go to Niagara Falls as a teen.
Then again in 2019. We drove up to Michigan to visit kin and took a day to drive from Detroit to Windsor across the Ambassador bridge. The border agent had a helluva accent that I couldn't understand well. He asked what we were gonna do, go, etc. And if we had any firearms. I told him I left my pistol in the hotel in Detroit. I thought my wife was gonna shite a brick. He let us pass with no problem.

Went a couple times. Drove over around the falls (Kingston I think) and stayed for a week or two.
