All inclusive resorts

My wife (no pics) wants me to take her on a one week vacation without the children. She asked about an all inclusive resort so we don't have to do anything. I looked at Club Med in Florida but it had some poor reviews. Plus, it's owned by a Chinese company which is a deal breaker for me. Anyone ever been to one?

Been to one in punta Cana and one in Cancun. Both were awesome and the all inclusive aspect was the absolute shite.

Went to on in Punta Cana a few years ago. It wasn't bad. The local beer was dogshit and the liquor was cheap, but that is to be expected in an all inclusive. The food options were pretty good and there was always stuff to do.

Guy in Scranton I know swears by Sandals. He always talks about the world's largest freshwater pool.

Best way to vacation. They got some cheap ones in mexico. Don't splurge on the room..... we spent a boat load on an upgraded room and was never in it

Check out Excellence Playa Mujeres. We have been before and are going back in July. Great place and great service.

There are varied levels and you get what you pay for. Some of them offer top shelf options, while others only have well brand junk. Just do your research and don't get super cheap and you'll be fine. Any of the big brands (Riu, Secrets, etc.) all have nice ones.

I went to Excellence Riviera in Cancun last year for our anniversary. Fights were free with airline miles. It was incredible! I will be back.

I never get this mentality. You still have to make reservations and order the food and schedule events. It’s just “pre-paid”.

I don't know a single person that does it for the food. Its for the booze. All you can eat food trips are called cruises.
