Flew once and no problems. Booked another trip and was cancelled bc of Covid. They refunded me 100%.

So they 2-2 in my book. American Airlines is batting under .100 on my scorecard and will never see another dime if I can help it.

Flown them a few times with no issues. Now Matt Canada I agree was a disaster.

Your rationale is very compelling.

In my limited experience gate agents sucked. Planes and flight crews were ok.
Maple leaf lounges were great with self serve crown and good food

They're really bad right now. My office HQ is in Canada and have several co-workers that have had horrible experiences with them. Some have just completely cancelled trips, after multiple attempts and not being able to get anywhere.

That said, American Airlines is still the absolute bottom of the barrel, as far as I'm concerned.

August of 2019 I had a two week long, four-leg itinerary over the Maritimes & Quebec scheduled with Air Canada.

My m-i-l (no pics) passed away two days before it was to begin, they refunded both tickets in full without an evidence.

The handful of times I have flown AC, they've been fine.

American Airlines is the "worst" large champion at this point.

Spice Air in India would like to take that challenge

I'm DFW based and spend 150+ nights on the road and I still avoid AA like the plague.

Flew with them to Edmonton and back to MSY through Toronto back at the end of June and, while there were delays, they made all the flights work and got our luggage there each time.

Delta, for comparison, is 3 for 8 on my luggage being there on the other side and two trips ago had me stuck in Detroit for an entire day because they apparently had a singular data center in Atlanta behind one set of cables and the cables got cut.

Im about to book a flight on AA, but was wondering what yall dont like about AA? I believe yall, but what specifically is the worst about them now?

I have flown them in the past, but it's been many years

Name anything bad an airline can do short of killing passengers and American Airlines is very good at it.

"Something Special In the Air" is right.

"Special" like Coach O in 2021.

Avoid unless there is no other alternative.

Used to be a pretty good airline, but they seem to be getting crushed this summer. Basically anyone I know who has flown to Canada over the last few months has had an AC horror story.
