Where are you going? You’d be surprised at what you can pick up at used sporting goods stores and thrift stores in mountain towns. I used to buy everything from Evo and occasionally Steep & Cheap but I’ve been buying up all kinds off stuff for dirt cheap since I moved to Summit County. I scored a brand new pair of $200 686 ski pants for $14.99 just two days ago at one of the places in Frisco.

I like REI. Plus, you can just return it after your trip if you don’t like the gear.

Park City. I've only ever been spring skiing, so I'm worried it's going to be colder than I'm used to. Really just looking for a jacket and some good gloves.

I've always had trouble with gloves in the past and my hands going numb. Thinking about splurging on a pair of heated gloves, but open to suggestions.

Buy a pair of Kinco mitts (mitts are warmer than gloves) and a jar of sno seal for ~$25. Throw the mitts in the oven for a few minutes and then rub in the wax, repeat a few more times and enjoy. You won’t have any issues with wet or cold hands again.

It’s skiing pretty nice right now, I spun a few laps today. If I’m off work early tomorrow I’ll head up for a couple of hours, if you see someone rocking orange skis, green boots, a yellow jacket, and an orange helmet say hello

AA changed my flight times to Montrose, CO by > 90 minutes, so I was able to rebook a flight, without any fees, to Gunnison-Crested Butte instead.

I'm hesitant to go back to Telluride for some reason.

I hope it does. But the snow seems to melt quickly.

Can anyone tell me anything about Snowmass? I’ve never been skiing but have the opportunity to attend a weeklong conference there in early March. Would take the family along if it’s a decent area for first timers.

The town of telluride is a better than cb, no doubt about that. The skiing....I like cb better. I'm more intermediate than expert though. Cb's terrain is like 75% beginner/intermediate/advanced.

If both get the same amount of snow as last year - which was a down year - all of cb will be open and only 2/3rd of telluride will be open.

Anybody have South Lake Tahoe lodging recs? Want to stay at a casino, likely Harveys or Harrahs as they are both a short walk to gondola

i70 resorts getting smashed

Earliest terrain openings ever for many resorts. Breck opened up Imperial Bowl today.

Lots of snow forecast for Breck in the next 2 days. It'll be wide open shortly.

And we’ve hardly gotten any snow in Denver this year so far. I could drive an hour west and be in an artic tundra

I stayed in Harrah's back in July. Rooms were very nice and just a couple of blocks to gondola at Heavenly.

Opening day at Jackson Hole.

Day 8 for me on the season. Been skiing Teton Pass for some solid turns.

Hey guys, my wife and i are looking into planning a short ski trip. I'm looking at skiing places with in shuttle distance from the Denver airport. Assuming that puts me with places like, Brekenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail, Winter Park, and Beaver Creek. Am i missing any others? We are looking for a place that we could fly into on a Wednesday and ski Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We would also like a place that we could get around by public transportation and wouldn't need a rental car. We have both skied over the years but haven't spent time in the Colorado area recently.

Breck can do all of that.
