The only thing that will kill an iPhone, at least in the US, is an Android with iMessage.

This all day. I left Iphone a decade ago for Android and I still can't believe they haven't figured this out yet. It's Apple's only card to play.

Google messages is better and also somewhat pretty close to integrateling with imessage. Once googles messages and Google duo integrate with FaceTime and imessage. It is game over for the iphone

Do you have any link regarding google message + imessage or Facetime + Duo interop? I have not seen any inclination from Apple to support that, even via RCS.

The only phone I have thought “might be” the iPhone killer is the palm pre and palm pixi. Both were sexy as hell phones but didn’t get the app buy in they needed.
If you told me there was a flip phone with a physical keyboard and 50% of the app support that an IPhone has I would be there in a heartbeat.

There's a better shot that Google kills off messages and duo 15x over and re-does another app that does the same thing 14x more than this occurring.

It really was. I dunno who's downvoting you cause Palm was the 1st company to really have "windowed" applications on a phone. I vaguely recall them suing apple and google after they both ripped it off from the dying Palm company.
That phone was ahead of its time and was a damn good phone.

This will NEVER happen unless the Government steps. Apple has no incentive to do this. Unlike Google where you are the product, for Apple the device is the product.
