Got a letter from my ISP

Copyright infringement letter
Has a separate letter with details from NBC Universal and it has all the details such as name of show(Mr. Robot), IP address, Port, date, etc
How worried should I be and how did this happen if I use PIA?

You should be very worried. I would go ahead and get an attorney right now. One count of e-theft holds the same weight as felony theft.

It happens to me when I get a file from a public tracker. I love IPTorrents for this reason alone. As long as you don't make it a habit, the FBI shouldn't be beating down your door

I use premiumize.me instead of torrenting
They can’t track that but it’s a monthly fee. Well worth it if you do heavy downloading. It’s also way faster than torrenting. No vpn needed.

Put the movies and episodes on an ext hdd, and start using ExpressVPN.
I had 2 of those with Cox years ago when I lived in Lafayette. I was constantly downloading torrents. With Cox they would shut your browser down until you removed the torrent from your pc, so you put it on an ext hdd and back in business.
I dont download as much since I can just stream the "illegal" content to the tv.

Use a private torrent site and it shouldn’t happen again. The two times I’ve gotten emails about something I downloaded was when the torrent came from a public site. I’ve been using iptorrents for a few years and never had an issue. I can send you an invite. Just need to keep your ratio up. You can seed with private sites without worrying about getting caught.
