Hyperbole
And that was mid-game when they had scored two quick goals. Don’t shame me for my emotions.

We really need to win that first match, with England looming.

so... according to the odds in the OP...

our draw is
Pot 1 - England 11.7% (team with the lowest percentage possible to be drawn with the USA in the pot)
Pot 3 - Iran 9.7% (tied for lowest)
Pot 4 - UEFA Playoff Winner 30.5% chance (highest)

Imagine a US vs England match up in a western country lol

This should be an excellent match honestly

All the young talent on both sides

We can definitely beat England but I think it will come down to them having world class talent up front with Kane

Watched the draw and post draw on BBC. To say they are happy is an understatement. Jules gave us some love but he said we are too young and the 2026 will be the tournament for us. They spoke to Ashley Williams and he's talking like they made the round of 16 and they haven't qualified for the tournament yet . Alan Shearer said probably best draw possible for England.

Anyway I thought I'd share what they were saying.

England have to be heavy favorites against the US, but weren’t they in 2010 as well?

I agree that on paper we are too young, but hasn’t this US generation gotten a ton of experience together by this age in comparison to what they would have if they were coming up after a strong generation instead of the “lost generation”?

Sleep on Iran at your own peril. Almost got out of their group last WC that had Spain and Portugal in it.

The group is definitely a Top 4 overall group in terms of even quality, IMO.

so what you're telling me is the USA's group is the actual group of death as all 4 teams in it could end up being in FIFA's top 25... the only group as such

Im hoping they can come out like world beaters and steal a point or 2 in their first two games, and then back down to earth after that.

Whether its Scotland or Wales, both of those teams will be laser focused to try and embarrass England too.

All of that bodes well for us to slide on through this group without all the drama for once (Fingers crossed, I know the drama point is wishful thinking, & i'll spent the next few months preparing myself for some awfully officiated matches)
