Lamine vs Messi, passing of the torch. Messi secures the golden boot today. Legend.

Lamine vs Messi,
That weird Messi bathing baby Yamal photo is going to get so much play if Argentina wins tomorrow.

Big if on getting past England though. I hope we win but we just seem so tired. Messi only getting 4 days rest between games is just too much for him.
But hey, no matter what, I’m proud of them getting this far. I honestly didn’t see it coming

Fair play to Spain, knocking out Portugal, Belgium and France. Tough road to the final. Meanwhile Argentina have made it to the final 4 by just facing cape verde, egypt and switzerland... feels really easy in comparison

Time to beat down the cheaters. Hand of God my arse, the hand of a cheater. Beckham red card in 98 based on Simeone’s dark arts. Dark arts my arse, he’s a cheat. Do it for the Iron Lady. It’s going to be a bigger beat down than the Royal Navy put on those bastards in 82. We do not negotiate with criminals or thugs.

Will FIFA allow Messi to lose?

Argentina’s opponents to get here:
Cabo Verde - needed extra time
Egypt - needed miraculous comeback w/ 3 goals in under 15 minutes
Switzerland - needed extra time
I think England gets it done tomorrow 3-2

England has barely gotten by as well. They are pretty predictable by playing the wings and not through the middle. Mexico is probably closest to style and determination as Argentina, but Arg is better and have Messi, whereas Swiss are probably closest to England that Arg has faced.
I feel like we’ve seen the ceiling from Arg, but not yet from England. They’re capable of a 3-1 win, but it depends on which England shows up. Their trajectory seems on the incline, where I could see Arg fizzling out. Both teams like to possess so it will be a real battle in the midfield.
I think Arg’s backline is less than England’s but again, if Tuchel starts Madueke instead of Saka, or someone other than Spence, Arg could create enough chaos since the England right side has been exposed.
Thats a long way of saying that in the end, it will come down to Jude/Kane vs Messi. Which star shines…

It just feels like England are the team of destiny to be runners up in a major tournament again.

England takes it. They’ve played well since Harry Kane woke them up late against Dr. Congo.

My son has a framed picture of him in his Real Madrid jersey next to Bellingham's locker in the Bernabeu he took a few months ago. It got put up in his room the day of the game against Mexico. Since then Bellingham has 2 braces. Streak continues!

It’s already bonkers down here at MBS.

I don't think it'll make a lot of difference, but English players and pundits talking so much smack about Messi and Argentina is wild.
