Basically they're screwed
The Scots need 4 of Cape Verde, Belgium, Congo, Ecuador, & Senegal to lose
ETA: Scotland is ok with Congo, Ecuador, & Senegal getting draws
ETA2: that's not even considering 4th place teams that could still jump them with wins too... like Curacao or New Zealand

This is the no bullshite statement of the year. Here's how bad their position is: if Cabo Verde wins against Saudi Arabia, they automatically clinch second place in their group. So that means 3rd place will be either Spain or Uruguay.
A Uruguay loss is the only thing that will benefit Scotland in that scenario. A draw gives Uruguay the same points, but a better GD
ETA: and if Saudi Arabia wins they will be no worse than 3rd, with more points.

Paraguay/Australia is actually pretty important
The winner gets 2nd place in the group
If Paraguay loses by 2 or more goals... they would fall below Scotland and be firmly on a very fragile bubble for advancing to the knockout round
Australia could end up in that same boat if they lose by like 3+ goals
