I mean it’s incredibly dumb. No other world power is risking their star player in a game that is meaningless. And I love Mauricio. But this is legit playing with fire.

Turkiye gets a late winner, 3-2 over the USA (mostly the US's B team since the US had already won the group), to feel good on their plane ride back home tomorrow as Group D wraps up its group stage play
While Paraguay & Australia take the gentleman's 0-0 draw which should see both through to the knockout round

Belgium in fact does not suck, they’re extremely talented on paper. They’re a few degrees away from being really good but they can’t seem to gel. If they happened to gel against us it would be bad. Doku is their best player and hasn’t been playing

Trossard has been useless. This is a team that I predicted wouldn’t make it out of group in 2022. They have zero chemistry and the only guy who is willing to push into the fricking box can only run for 15 minutes. 
Doku is one of my favorite players but he can’t be effective if his teammates just stand and watch as he takes on defenders.
