How Lindy Boggs got her job. But it’s much easier to marry money than earn it.

There was an obvious high kick, that made contact with the Ecuadorian players head. The referee missed it, which is whatever, but supposedly VAR took a look and somehow allowed it to stand.

The didn't call a high kick on Germany immediately prior to the goal. There was face/boot contact, and the Ecuadorian defender was not bent over or leaning forward.

Why is Germany playing their starters? Don’t they have the group locked up already?

New strategy: Kick the defender in the head and no one will overturn it.

That’s really bad

The officiating this WC worries me. There have been so many obvious fouls, card worthy instances, handballs, etc that have been missed and yet they all go on without being corrected.

Either VAR is not looking at plays, or they are just that bad at their job. Which is scary, because some future games will be decided by their ineptitude.

I think they want to get Havertz, Musiala, Sane minutes to round into form, since they missed large chunks of the season. As for the rest I dunno. Guess the manager wants continuity.

It's not cheering for Germany... it's cheering for the right result which will allow the soccer equivalent of the weird uncle who's kinda cool & fun to advance to the next round

Bro all you got to do is fall down she’s gonna call it. Unless you get a boot to the forehead standing straight up, then nothing. When liberal people ask what “woke” is, this is a great example. She’s not a bad ref bc she’s a woman, she’s a bad ref because she’s not good, and being shoehorned into a position someone better qualified should be in

I have to say, Curacao's defensive ball skills are pretty impressive.

They just seem to take the ball every time they make a challenge, traffic be damned

Unbelievable. Looks like the same ref who did the US Open Cup final last year and she got booed out of the stadium. Yep, I just checked. It is the same dumb bitch. WTF is FIFA doing?

The ref in the Curacao/Ivory Coast game isn't doing much better.

Seems to have a hard-on for the Ivory Coast
