Im just saying it’s crazy when you see a penalty blasted into outer space or dragged super wide.

I understand your argument... but you have to remember where the aim point is

On a free throw or a field goal attempt... the person is aiming for the dead center of their target

On a penalty kick... more times than not the taker is not aiming for the center of the goal (you know... goalkeeper is right there)

The taker is typically aiming for a corner of the goal... leading to some misses here & there

All this talk about Alexi being shite on TV, yet I swear Zlatan's analysis for every match this World Cup has been "It's going to come down to who will want it more, so let's see who will want it more".

Not really. Again, they aren’t just trying to put it on frame, they’re trying to score. It’s not that easy when these goalkeepers are pretty good at making stops.

On a serious note, has Jonathan Tah of Germany's Penalty Kick landed yet?

Not sure but the NFL has confirmed that the Patriots will be up 3-0 to start its week 1 game.

Im saying that some count who has been kicking a ball since birth, been the recipient of elite training and gets paid millions of dollars to do all this should AT THE VERY LEAST be able to put it on frame.

all this aside that second Germany goal should've counted. That contact with the goalie was incidental not intentional. He popped back up and just plain didn't have a shot at it.

Disagree that the contact was incidental. Why else would that German player run into the goalie other than to interfere? The play was away from them and it seems clear to me his assignment was to disrupt.

Seems opinions are pretty evenly divided, so it must have been a gray area. I am admittedly a world cup bandwagon fan.

It looked more like the goalie ran into the German player. I didn’t like the goal being taken away for it.

With Ecuador and Paraguay presidents declaring national holidays after their wins, will Trump do the same for Thursday if we win?
