Zidane has rejected an offer to coach the USMNT (at least we asked), and Roberto Martinez has just agreed with Portugal.

So we can take them both off the list.

They need keep upping the offer to Zidane until he says yes.

With all the shite that has gone on for the last month, you need to make a headline.

Where is the Zidane stuff coming from? I don't have a Twitter so just wondering who the source is?

And I really don't expect us to announce anything until close to or the end of the European season. Marsch is probably a top target and if he's fired sooner then that'll probably end the search.

Didnt Pep say one time he wanted to coach us?

The article is in french, but here is the report.

Zinedine Zidane has reportedly rejected an offer to coach the USMNT, per @lequipe.

He does not want to coach a national team unless it's France.

Zidane only takes the easy coaching jobs. Not the ones that require work.

he won’t do it, especially after all this incestual infighting bullshite. as much as we want to make this solely about gregg and the reynas, we’re completely ignoring the broader impact it might have. 1 step forward, 8 steps back

What does the board think of Pellegrino Matterazo? Or for that matter, Zidane’s former teammate, Patrick Vieira?

Pochetino would be the long shot who the US may actually have a chance with since he isn’t currently employed.

If I had to make a bet though, I would say Anthony Hudson until June and then Jesse Marsch.

Jesse supposedly said he didn't want the job back before the World Cup. We need someone that does not have roots in US Soccer or MLS to stay away from those incestuous relationships. No more former USMNT players.

Not to mention he's a system guy, pass. Davide Ancelloti deserves an interview.

Rafa is currently without a club. Maybe he wants to wade into national team waters.

Only way Marsch ever considers it is if Leeds sacked him before. The USMNT is nowhere near important enough to derail a career and get paid significantly less. If already employed he shouldn’t be regarded as a serious candidate

Ya, I'm a Madrid fan.

He took a Madrid team and helped them win, but let's not act like they weren't going to win anyway. They were spending shite tons of money.

Now he says he only wants to coach France? The team loaded with stars.

He's a great coach, but he only plays with winners.
