Sargent was vital on the goal, but he was largely non existent. Something that happens way too often in his time with the USMNT.

I don’t understand why Zimmerman would chance a foul when Bale’s back was to the goal.

Back to the goal and moving away from the goal, I have no clue what he was doing there.

These buffoons have put themselves in the position of having to beat Iran in the Middle East to advance. Lets see how that works out.

What did the US jerseys say? They had a whole paragraph above the crest. Some sort of biblical scripture or something?

The problem is given the likely outcome vs ENG, this will put a stupid amount of pressure on the USA/ IRAN match. Not a good position to be in. Wales should at least get to pull in a win before they’re really facing elimination.

Tough one. Almost had it, but at the same time they weren’t aggressive enough in the 2nd.

Wales has an advantage playing England third. We could see a 1-0 "get a goal and get out of here" match from England against Wales.

We play Iran last and will know what Wales did against them. So that will at least help - we can run up the score and assume they won't do significantly better against England than we did.

We need help from England who will likely mail it in after clinching the group when they crush us

Yep this is what’s most likely if Wales beats Iran. Need Iran to get a result vs Wales, which is possible, otherwise I think we will deservedly be going home early.

Zimmerman was dumb, but I didn’t see anything from the team or manager in the second half to make me think this team is any better off than it was a year ago.

Iran isn't the problem, England potentially laying down against Wales is

Iran is Shia.

Shias and Sunnis hate each other more than they hate us.

1st half play was a result of Wales tactics - sit off the ball, concede possession. 2nd half they pressed when our midfield was gassed and it made a massive difference. We have to figure a way to deal with a 2nd half press like that. I thought we did good at getting the ball into good positions on the wings but then the service in was terrible or we turned it over. We aren’t a crossing team - we have no target man. Need to work on wtf to do with the ball at the far edges of the opponents box. They’re clueless.
