I'm not throwing the towel in yet, given what Ive seen from the other teams this season... it's up in the air.. We'll get Ali back soon and Thiago looks great... We have had a lot of injury/covid hits this season so far... Hopefully, the core front seven will see a lot of the field together soon...

We just need to pray our CBs stay healthy and Fab can give them some rotation... More worried about Matip than Gomez.. Matip is truly fragile, where I think Joe has had some bad injuries.. hope that makes sense

You guys interested in Antonio Rudiger on loan?

I'd take Lovren back at this point..

Joel Matip underwent a scan on Saturday after complaining of discomfort in a leg muscle after the derby. Nothing major but will continue to be assessed ahead of Ajax away in the CL on Wednesday night. #LFC

It’s incredibly difficult to win back to back. I wasn’t expecting another title, but I was hoping to be up there competing for it. It does seem a lot of that will come down to the fitness of the CBs until January. We absolutely have to buy another one.

A young Centerback will have to come thru
I prefer one from within the system for continuity
January window is always overrated especially when the world knows you need one. January is when you get someone elses problem....Balotelli

That was more of a continuation of a fall signing that we had to back off of for a few months though. Definitely not your normal winter signing.

Matip and Thiago out for Champions league this week.

Guessing Fabinho to the back and Henderson operating in the holding midfield.

This is comical.

No way the gods were going to allow us to have any more fun.

We asked for it by not signing any cover at CB. Matip and Gomez have been injury prone since they got to liverpool, it was only a matter of time before one or both missed matches.

We put all of our eggs in the pray Virgil stays healthy basket. We did the same thing last year with the front three and got away with it. We'll have to start at a kid next to Fabs at CB at some point in a premiere league match, and potentially many matches, because as mentioned there is no way that Gomez and Matip are fit all season. Any overlap there and we are fricked.

VVD injury might be worse than just an ACL reports are saying now

Hope the big man gets healthy and back to form

Eh odds are that it’s never an isolated ACL tear anyway

Obviously there’s a lot of degrees of “worse” but if that just means one small other structure is involved that doesn’t really complicate his timeline too much. Now if it’s a multilig with involvement of at least 3 ligaments or some kind of other cartilage defect, then that’s definitely a game changer

Either way, I wouldn’t expect to see him until the start of next season as that would put him closer to 10 months out

Saw that too, just resigning myself to not seeing him this season.

It feels like VVDs injury ended his season and this thread at the same time.
