Mahrez medical tomorrow is picking up twitter steam...let's get him, Oblak and another CB. Do it.

But... Mahrez should NOT get the 10.. sorry

Pretty much all of the LFC mouthpieces are saying that LFC told LCFC that we weren't interested in Mahrez. And Mahrez's agent is supposedly Cous agent as well. So maybe he's just trying to get his other guy some limelight and move potential while he's got the ears of journalists?
I'm wouldn't hate Mahrez but I don't think he fills an extreme need. though I guess we do need a guy who can play centrally or on the wing - though the Ox seems capable of that (but not nearly as good on the wing as the others are).
As for Klopp - no one feels the pressure for him to have to win the trophy other than a few extremes in the fan base. He's building and our depth is so much better this year than last - which Cou leaving hurts and hopefully his price tag will eventually help. Personally, it will be disappointing if he doesn't win something by next year, but I won't be restless until the year after. Even then, a Cap One cup won't exactly be the limit of my expectations.

Whether it's a good deal for #LFC all depends where they go and spend that money. Club adamant that Mahrez isn't lined up as Coutinho's replacement.

What we've seen from Klopp so far shows that if he can't get exactly who he wants this month then he will wait for the summer. #LFC

Thats pretty much a throw-away line though. No potential transfer should/will be expected to “replace” Coutinho.

SCH are you serious? I’ve seen you on here before be very insightful and knowledgeable, then I’ve also seen you act like a douchebag peeking into a rivals board. I’m not sure which one I’m getting here but speaking from a fan perspective I am extremely happy with Klopp’s first 2 years here. He inherited an amazingly flawed and thin squad with a club that was not where it needed to be organizationally as in our dual trading grounds and the infamous transfer issues. This club has not been this together in a very long time and it looks like FSG might be ready to step up having trust in their guy. We will never have Manchester or Chelsea money to throw around but it appears that might not matter as long as Klopp is getting what he needs.

And for the record as a former Marine I can’t not like the guy because I believe he is or was a military man. Am I correct in that assumption?

He is. I am as well. SCH is one of the more adaptable posters on the site. He can be serious, joking, trolling, or any mix thereof.
Either that, or he is bipolar.

Well, West Germany being at the Soviet spear-point for almost 50 years post-WW2, they had mandatory military service via conscription until the year 2011. (Why it lasted until 2011, I don't know.)
That is not to make any less of his military service, by the way. All who serve are to be appreciated IMO. (P.S. Unless you're a rooskie or a commie.

Interesting post from Reddit -
Liverpool have sold at least one of their top two league goal scorers for the last 4 seasons in a row.
No wonder we had such trouble building.
I would love for this to be the end of us being a selling club. Sign a contract, see it out.

He's knowledgeable, and he likes to wind-up Liverpool supporters as he is a manure fan. It's in good spirits IMO.

Question for the crew.
What was the club supposed to do? Hold out and not sale, while he faked injury for January, then work him back into the team in February, and hope he is playing well in March. I’m just not sure what the alternative was to selling him.
I look forward to him getting arrested in Spain for tax evasion.

i kinda agree with your point... and i find it pretty hypocritical to question the club selling a player, at this point, a player that no longer wanted to be here, in the season, when we just benefitted from the exact same situation by buying VVD...
and yes, i realize the two clubs have different situations going on, as far as what they are playing for, etc... but c'mon...
look, he's developed into a world class player, and yes, we are better with him on the pitch, but the hole he leaves is not nearly as deep as the one left by Suarez...
we have some really good MF players, and it may take a few games to get the line up correct, but i don't know about y'all, but from the business that FSG and Klopp have done thus far, i feel FULLY confident in us becoming a better overall team in the future, as we already have quality players to fill in the short term, and we have players coming in the future that are even better quality.... and we STILL have over £100 million to buy some other really good players...
SCH is getting y'all riled up, and i like the dude and respect his insight and knowledge, but y'all know he likes to lurk on other team boards and troll every once in a while... you just have to be able to recognize it and criticizing Klopp after only 2 years, 1 of which has seen us back to top 4 and CL football, is obvious...

when Klopp feels he has the team set the way he wants it, and we start giving star players a reason to stay and/or come here vs. another team, we will stop being a selling club....
we aren't there yet.... i feel like we are getting there, and we aren't very far away, IMO, but we aren't on that level quite yet...
become dominate, become a team that is perpetually in the CL and in the mix for hardware, year in and year out, and you won't have guys wanting to join other teams to attain their goals... in fact, you'll have guys wanting to come here to play for glory and championships....
living on the club's historical success and thinking it has any weight into the decisions of players playing right now is lunacy.... guys want to play for teams that are for sure playing in the biggest games in the world, every single year, or at the very least, more often than not...
