Germany couldn’t defend the counter, and had a bunch of good chances but couldn’t take it home.

Silver lining of this loss. Mexico’s big win in the tournament also lost to South Korea, in a must-win game. And now Mexico got wasted by Sweden. They are always head-cases anyway; this should make them feel really inadequate going into the knockouts.
