Was a fantastic day watching that. Everyone at work went to a nearby bar and watched during lunch. One of the loudest I’ve ever heard a bar.

I was at Finn's and it was as nuts as any of the other reaction videos posted at that time.

Many may disagree, but I hate the long goal calls by Spanish play-by-play guys. If you're not going to say anything poignant, just lay out and let me hear the sounds from the celebrations in the stadium. I loved the excitement from the call prior to the goal, then it's just unnecessary.

I had a final exam when the game started. I recorded it on my directv.
When i got to school I made sure to turn my radio off in my car before i turned the car off, that way i couldn't accidentally hear any news about the game when i get back in the car.
I did the same at home with my tv, but the volume all the way down and also taped some pieces of paper in all 4 corners just in case for some reason i turned the tv on and saw any highlight or anythign that showed a score.
I was successful in avoiding all news of what happened and got home and watched it in full by myself and was going crazy when he scored, just a good 2 hours after everyone else.

Who are the announcers for our matches this time around?

I hope it isn’t our normal one of late… he sucks.

I’ll watch the Spanish or Brit broadcast, if it is.

It’s going to be John Strong and Stu Holden for all of our matches

People remember the goal, but so many forget the massive save and quick start by Howard to kick off that entire sequence.

I prefer Strong to the most recent announcer, but he sucks too.

I wish we could con Arlo White into doing our matches somehow.

Fox Sports has quasi ruined international soccer by going away from
British announcers and force feeding us shitty American and Hispanic announcers.

Just like they’re killing cfb. Fox is a cancer to everything they touch in sports except the NFL.

ETA: and the Ian Darke call is a million times better than the Cantor one.

Every time I watch it I think the Algerian defender has a chance to get Donovan’s first touch which is a bit long. He even thought about it.

I agree. It’s not even that cool when it’s you’re team scoring and it’s probably the most obnoxious sound to hear when it’s against your team.
