Guy does nothing on the attack, is constantly stuck in traffic, has a terrible first touch, and is NO WHERE to be found on set pieces. It's infuriating.

He’s actually had a decent half

Set up at least 2 decent chances in goal himself

Dude has been excellent in hold up play this match which is the focus with this lineup. Hot take.

It's Gregg's system you don't like, not the striker currently playing it.

Sargent had a great first half.

This is your previous bias of him impacting the way you’re watching this.

No. There have been much worse strikers considering the history of US soccer.

Decent? He was pretty damn good outside of the first 15. Very good actually.

Not even close. I've seen us start some strikers who were straight up arse.

Go watch the WC highlights of Josey Altidore. That guy was a massive bust on the world stage.

His job isn't necessarily to score off the ball or beat and dribble. He's a hold up striker meant to pull defenders to him and the dump the ball to our skilled dribblers and wingers.

Eh not really.

To be fair, we haven't had a properly served free kick or corner all tournament. Ok, maybe 1.

Sargent is solid. He's not a superstar by any means, but he gets the job done typically.
