Big one today. Saliba is about to put Gakpo in his pocket.

Wonder if white or Tomi starts and just start tierney on the left.

Arteta knows how critical this match is. I expect a VERY strong starting eleven.

According to Twitter it looks like no White today. His first day off since 9/8 against Zurich, which is good he needs a rest. Tomi on the right with Holding, Gabriel and Tierney filling in the back line.
Lokonga, Xhaka
Saka, Vieira, Nketiah and Jesus up front. Guessing Jesus probably plays on the left today.

Gooool de Arsenal!!! All from a great play by Turner to prevent a corner, a nice nutmeg by Saka, a perfect cross from Tomiyasu, and a clinical finish from Xhaka!
1-0 to the Arsenal!

Great win. Another clean sheet at home, top of Europa League after 4 games.

A draw next game secures top spot in the group. Love to see it.

On to Sunday!

Xhaka has really turned from an ok but occasional serious liability at times into one of the team leaders and very solid player this year. The change is really incredible. Couldn’t be more surprised but good for him.

I was told Arteta was a great player development coach, but Xhaka is a perfect example that he is a wizard when it comes to it.

We looked pretty strong today, Jesus definitely should have scored one of his chances.

Funny stat, I think that is 36 games in all competitions without a draw. Last time was in January vs Burnley.

Kept up with the game via gamecast today. Gonna watch the replay tonight.

I’m pinching myself right now. We’ve won every game since Labor Day weekend. I don’t ever want it to end.

There are a few positions where we don't have much depth (winger, CM, LB)

Shows on a night like tonight where key players like Partey and Odegaard come on but was necessary imo tonight with an opponent like PSV. Simons looked good from what I saw. Hopefully get some guys back at the WC break and maybe add a CM or winger in the window and be really ready for the KOs. Hopefully see more of Reiss in the next EL fixtures just needing 1 point.

it's important that we win the group, it saves us 2 games against the CL drop down teams

They played like it tonight. Liked what I saw and hope those big chances start hitting the back the net. A lot of good moves just missing that finish.

Stay healthy and keep moving.

It's really been an incredible turn around for a player.

Our defensive structure is helping him trust things more as well. He used to make ridiculous fouls and you could tell it was because he felt if the guy got past him, he would score because our fullbacks sucked so bad.

I was watching him running slightly behind, and stride-for-stride with, a PSV player who had the ball yesterday, and I was thinking to myself, "here it comes, he's going to do some ridiculous slide tackle for his second yellow"... but he didn't. He forced the player into the teeth of the defense and the player took a shot that went 30 feet over the goal.

And obviously playing more forward in the attack has complemented his game as well as the rest of the team more.

It's been a joy to watch this season thus far.

fricking LOVE Big Gabi.

I take personal offense when he gets criticized.

He's fricking huge for us and if you notice, some of his long balls to Martinelli in the channel would be the talk of the world if he played at Real Madrid or Barcelona.

He truly is an all around defender.
