Nketiah at least as real PL experience (although wasn’t very productive)

Balogun has already said he's not coming to be a backup.
I say sell both and have a buyback on Balogun and/or a sell on clause.

Have seen him quoted various places that he wants a starting role plus this type of statement would add up.

Yeah I’m not sure he said back up but I’d also imagine it just depends on how Arteta sees him.
Since he was the loanee and we are bringing in Kai, there is an argument he could be 5th choice #9 behind Jesus, Nkhetia, Kai, trossard.
Now that I don’t think he’d want to do.

So possibly 4th choice.
And if Kai can excel there then that’s our xhaka replacement.

Zero chance he’s behind Trossard. Kai is a midfielder. I think Balo is either 3rd or 2nd right now. I hope Arteta gives him some time in preseason camp to prove he’s the number one. Apparently he had a very strong camp with the usmnt.
