Which literally no one asked you to do but why single out Southerners? Unless you have a shocking lack of historical knowledge, or just some good old fashioned cultural stereotypes that you can’t keep hidden.

This is a meaningless statistic. You can also claim that 90% of Southerners are descendants of abolitionists. Or 90% of Northerners are descendants of slave owners. Or 90% of blacks are descendants of slave owners. Pick any category of ______ are descendants of _____ and genealogy will do the work for you as generational trees expand. It's also not surprising that Kamala's family has ties to slavery as the vast majority of slaves in the Atlantic slave trade went to the Caribbean and Brazil and not America.

This is not complex. It is almost as if you folks are afraid to accept simple facts.
Many of my ancestors owned slaves. That does not mean that I owe reparations to anyone ... not least because most of them lost everything to the Southern cause and were dirt-poor by 1870.

Well, you're not wrong. People want to get bent out of shape and claim "my family didn't own no slaves." Newsflash, if your family has deep roots in southern slave states, you probably do have slave owners in your family tree. It's simply American history, not a current day judgement. Ultimately, who gives a shite? People need to stop carrying dead people's baggage.
