Hmmm you answer your own question later

Then fricking do it.. The government is responsible for this and has burdened you with an expensive plan because you are young and needed to buffer the cost for the older and sick that they rely on for votes.. They really don't give a shite about you in these regards because they know they can placate the
youth in other ways. Play time is over, the government needs
your demographic to offset others, blame them if you most..
And before the ACA, there were plenty of competent catastrophic plans designed for the youth that served their needs and were cheap..

He's right in a sense, BB. "Cheap plans" are cheap, because they generally have high deductibles. For a poor individual, paying the high d is a non-starter. So - in effect - they are *worthless*.
Have to disagree there. A young, healthy person will be able to pay off the deductible over time if an unexpected catastrophe occurs. It's a lot better than the "good" plans, which still have a high deductible but also have high premiums. That money goes down a rathole and leaves less money in the policyholder's pocket to pay for the deductible.
Exchange plans also have a virtually nonexistent network, so you still have to pay the out of network costs and you're ultimately on the hook for a lot more than you were under the old system.

Congratulations. You're in luck. You have a qualifying circumstance. You can sign up for Obamacare so stop your bitching.

What will make you "sick", gt...is when the Fed 'credit card' freezes up.
I doubt this ever happens. The Federal Reserve is at the federal government's PLEASURE.
federal government needs more money----->print treasury bonds------>Federal Reserve prints money (digitizes it)--------> Federal Reserve buys treasuries (with digitized money) -------> federal government grows federal government with all it's bull shite programs to "help" the people.
I don't see an end to this scheme. It's how the federal government rolls.
Please note the difference between federal government and Federal Reserve.

Yeah, I can get a better job... and I probably will soon... what about all these other folks that can't because jobs aren't available that pay enough because everything is being outsourced to china, india, etc or to mexicans. The Wealthy are just as much to blame as the poor for the issues in this country.
wealthy are far more to blame for the problems in this country than the poor.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation's rate calculator he can get the silver plan, after subsidies for around $62.00 a month. He can sign up because he had a qualifying event because he lost his job.
Go away troll. Too many billy goats in this thread.

For all the criticisms of obamacare I still think the most important one is that no one really understands all the effects it's had.

I didn't vote democrat on the last election, I did when McCain ran because of Palin...
The solution lies somewhere between a Democratic and Republican view...

You make 8.50 a frickin hour. You get every dime you pay in back plus some. I am sorry you did not take your future seriously when you were young, get an education, and get a quality job, but thats on you.
Now is time to wallow in self pitty our pick yourself up and make something of the crappy times.
I was a mid 20's college dropout making 8.50 an hour at one time. I realized if I wanted to survive I had to bust my tail and make something of myself.
Now I'm mid 30's with a masters degree and a stable income.
There is nobody to blame but yourself for the position you are in.

You sound like you're mad at other things, and are taking it out on the health insurance issue.
Fwiw, I took a lesser paying job partially because of the health insurance it offered.

I had just started a small business doing computer work for dental offices, things where going great.. Dental Software was offered by the big business, but setting up networks, installing hardware, supplying hardware, setting up and installing intra-oral cameras and x-rays, etc was my business. I was a turn-key solution. The big business supplied the software and cameras and digital x-rays, I installed them and the computers for the dentist.
I had a pretty good thing going until the big business supplying the software and most of my "leads" to job offers started to do what I did. And took all my clients. Now I can go work for them for 1/3 the pay I was making, which is probably what I will end up doing.
