I've seen dumber posts, but this might take the title for strangest attempt at a flex. How does this work; the longer you go until your next meal the more of a badass you are?

You might be retarded.

With this administration, we are getting there.

Screw that. Those of us who work require fuel prior to starting our workday. WSJ can EABOD.

I seriously want someone to explain to me the basics of math. My jumbo dozen eggs at HEB cost $1.85 one year ago. Price is now $4.75 at HEB for the same eggs.

How is this considered 70%?

Is my math correct:

Let's assume some averaging here.

If eggs averaged $2/ dozen for the whole month of January last year, a 70% increase would mean eggs are averaging $3.40 for the month of January this year.

It's supposed to be that simple, right?

But, it's no way they've only gone up that much.

Easily doubled, closer to tripled

This comes from the same mindset as “work from home” during the pandemic. If you are part of the laptop class who just sits in a recliner and bangs on a keyboard for a few hours a day and you call that work, I guess you could skip meals.

Ima call BS. The WSJ is firmly in the category of the MSM and therefore there is no way they would indicate that inflation was higher than normal. How did so many of y'all miss that????

I wait until 4ish to ea most days. Love it.

We aren’t wired to be constantly eating. We are predators.

breakfast wasn't a natural meal until modern times.

I dont eat breakfast and feel so much better during the day due to it.

It sucks because I LOVE breakfast food. Gimme some biscuits and gravy, ham/egg/cheese melt, french toast, etc. I love it all way more than I should.

It’s like Joe Biden’s speech last Tuesday. Full of Shitt.
This administration can and will use all the different variables in the world and lie directly to your face we have seen that from the beginning.

This. I never eat breakfast. The science is in that intermittent fasting is healthy. Ketones are an endogenous medicine. Of course, it’s hard to bottle and sell them so there’s little discussion of it. With that said, I have a sedentary office job. If I busted my arse, I’d probably eat breakfast.

If by modern you mean 1500s-1600s, depending on the country, then that's an accurate statement.

Correct. Particularly if one is eating the garbage that as presented as healthful for breakfast in America (juice, toast, cereal, etc.)

The problem with sugar is that you have to push through the subsequent crash. Hardly anybody does. They just top off and keep going, never entering ketosis, constantly bathed in insulin, growing ever fatter. It’s sad to see but even sadder that this knowledge is not communicated by the people who are supposed to look after our health.

Breakfast was created for our farming ancestors. I only have coffee at 6 a.m. But I like sausage and eggs so sometimes that's for lunch.
