People are literally saying exactly what I claimed they would say

Multiple people say we need 1 day in person voting in this thread already

way better than the way 2020 went down where they coincidentally had exactly enough time to find exactly the right number of votes in the exact right states for the outcome they wanted.

The problem with America is we have way too many elections. There should be two 3 day periods yearly of in-person voting and extremely limited mail-in ballots when absolutely necessary.

Everyone must have an ID. No machines whatsoever.

This thread is about the days that you have available to vote which doesn't have anything to do with the counting

I've voted in every election - national, state, local - since 1990. Not once do I recall leaving the polling place thinking to myself "Damn, that was hard."

Our processes should get a lot more rigorous.

so after Day 2 when they tell who is leading and by how much, do you not think that day 3 votes will be manipulated?

Lets make it much more difficult to where we are able to manipulate votes. Sounds like a great idea. You have no common sense.

Correct but as a compromise I would take a 2 day voting period with no mail in, absentee, or early votes.

Nope we want it easy for legal voters to vote on this day. You know this but it would cripple your parties chances of winning.

Nope it needs to be paper ballots with hand counting. If you cannot deliver on the day of the voting there is ample enough time to pre vote in person. You know this but it would cripple your parties chance of winning.

If we enforced voter ID and got rid of the ridiculous absentee ballot leniency and drop boxes for a month than sure.

We don't need more stupid people voting, we need less and we don't need to make it easier on the left to cheat.

You either care or you don't.

If you care enough, you will make the appropriate arrangements to vote when it's time.

People died for this right.

Exactly my point, thank you.

For such an important right, and a decision that will last at least the next 4 years, why wouldn’t we expand the voting to 3 days to ensure every eligible voter has a chance to exercise this right.

It’s easy to say “just make it a priority” on voting day. What we all know is life happens and many people are unable to get to a poll when it’s open only one day.

The fact less than 50% of eligible voters partake on average is very telling of this.
