Your perception of failing Christianity is likely due to the watering down of traditional values that come from moral poisons like Mormonism

I was talking to God last night and he said that I can share his message, but in order to show you are worthy, you must make a sacrifice. My venmo is @god-friend69

I (and a lot of people like me) are more interested in Christianity as a vessel to protect western culture and honor our shared European heritage. And in that respect, Mormonism has shone while traditional Christianity has failed spectacularly - particularly over the last 30 years.

O.k., but that's not what it's for. That's like preferring a Phillips head screwdriver to a regular because the PH has a better handle to drive nails when you turn it around backwards.

What you are talking about is the value of a specific culture, not a religion.

I'm not sure you're even correct about your observations, either. I was told by two different people who lived in Salt Lake City that, yes, there are lots of Beaver Cleaver families around, but there is also an equal and opposite reaction to that. The element that rejects the religion REALLY rejects the culture of the religion, to the degree of almost becoming anti-social. There are plenty of lesbians and extreme counter-culture types, at least in SLC.

Agreed. Compared to the "mainstream" denominations, they're relatively unscathed by the modernist rot that has taken over so many.

First you have to explain what it is you believe we have lost that could be regained through joining the Mormon church.

Then you have to explain why we could not regain that in any other way?

I want you to be very specific about what it is that Mormonism has supposedly done to "protect western culture" that Christianity hasn't.

1. Geographic concentration of its adherents that is conducive to keeping statists and leftists from infiltration as we’ve seen throughout traditional Catholicism and Protestantism in most of Western Europe and North America.
2. Strong culture of family values and morals that’s closer to Amish or Mennonite than traditional Christianity through aggressive monitoring amongst adherents
3. Just enough acceptance of modern culture and luxury to keep its members a relatively “normal” part of western culture without the kids turning into “thots” or proudly open deviants through competent leadership from the top down.

All of these points are similar to what Orthodox Christianity has been able to retain in Eastern Europe - I’d argue that geographic concentration has been the most important benefactor for that region as well. Lots of people my age here in the US talk longingly of moving to Poland or Hungary type nations to enjoy a 1950’s America style life like their grandparents. I’m basically hypothesizing that moving to Utah and converting to Mormonism would be (perhaps) an easier route

Agree - they’re basically in the 1960’s and first wave feminism (same as Orthodox Christian countries in Eastern Europe), which is a hell of a lot better than where traditional Christianity is in most of America

I consider not moving to Utah and becoming a Mormon one of the bigger regrets in my life. Not for the spiritual value but for the perks. Id also consider Amish or Mennonite

I hang out with just as clean cut, just as fit, just as friendly Catholic families. The difference is we aren’t a pseudo religion.

Oh, and Romney is a Mormonbif you want the best reason to say no.

Would I consider joining a cult for 50 years of perceived heaven on earth and risking Eternity in real Heaven?

No.

Mormons tend to be a moral people as viewed from the outside. They also are hard working and industrious. They are frugal and saving.

But Harry Reid and Mittens are Mormons, and I find neither good nor moral.

Mormons believe that they will one day be gods. That is not Christian; that is Satanic.

Satan wins few converts by being all scary and shite. He wins them by offering perceived earthly temporary good things in exchange for the eternity of good. Just like Disney World, it’s fun while it last, but it’s just an illusion.

But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Right now, BYU looks more likely for my children than LSU. Not sure about Mormonism though.

You don't need to join the Mormon cult for this and forsake the gospel.

You just need to adopt the thinking of post-millennial eschatological Christians. Doug Wilson and others like him theologically. Have a ton of kids, homeschool them.

In 50 years the liberals will gone because trannies and gays can't reproduce and liberals think having multiple kids is immoral because of climate change. Or they just don't care to because they're selfish and worship themselves, women in leadership, etc.

Meanwhile if we all have 5-8 kids and homeschool them, and 70% of them grow up with a similar moral compass. Of course some of them will stray, but that's between them and The Lord. Society will be won back in a generation or two. We won't really reap the benefit but our kids will.

The culture of death promoted by liberals by nature will destroy itself.

You probably have a better chance getting into Heaven as a Mormon, than Catholic now.

Your new Pope is not right with God.
