I would not allow any of my children to be in the military as it currently stands. I disagree with being the world's policeman, and our military has not "defended our freedom" since WWII.

On the contrary, I think you can have a lot of peace as long as you have two out of the three.

If Lord Netanyahu, ruler of all decisions made in the middle east, says that I should sacrifice my son then I must sacrifice my son.

That's how this works right?

Why does he have to die?

No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.

It sometimes isn't that simple. If the Soviet's had not backed down in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Would you have been totally against Kennedy following through with the planned air strikes and invasion?

I don’t have a son . But I would prefer to just just bomb them from a distance till they give in . Our kids are more value then money and middle easterners life’s .

So I disagree under some circumstances. If our merchant ships are conducting business in international water OR in a host countries waters under their permission, and somebody attacks them....

You have to punch them in the face. You don't have to get into nation building but free transit of the seas is one of the primary reasons to have a navy.

This is easy to say and I used to agree. However, my stance on intervention has changed somewhat.

In the long run, we’re going to have to deal with them either voluntarily or be forced to at some point. By the time of the latter, it could be too late to make any impact and minimize damage.

1,000,000 Tutsi would agree with you if they weren't hacked to death with machetes.

Wrong. You'd have no allies. And we'd have tok go to war with everybody, because they're not going to sit back and let us enjoy isolated prosperity.

The UN is already trying to bully America into bending the knee to support the rest of it. Good thinhlg we elect Republicans every now and then to tell them to BTFU

I'm opposed to any war in which we don't put the full force of our military in an effort to win or complete our mission as quickly as possible.
I don't want to sacrifice my son's life for any reason. However, Military is voluntary. I couldn't stop him.
You do understand that there are many who live off excitement and love going to battle.
