This makes no sense. The only reason you could possibly feel unsafe in a church is with the exceedingly rare situation where some crazy goes in there and shoots the place up. A flock camera isn't stopping that. How exactly does a flock camera make you feel safer in a church? Walk us through the logic here.
We've had drug addicts bust out car windows while we were at worship, looking for purses.
We have regular security cameras mainly for that reason, but also because there was a shooting at a Universalist Church nearby in 2008.
License plate database is obviously a negative, but monitoring the parking lot is smart.

There are already CCTV cameras on almost every block in any major city. There are millions of ring cameras on houses in every neighborhood in the country. If you think you're going out in public and not being recorded by a camera, you're about 20 years too late.
I’m not naive. A million wrongs don’t make a right though. We need fewer cameras not more. I’m also the same person who declines my photo being taken by the TSA agent at the airport. Again…I’m not naive. More so I prefer standing on principles.

Our church has cameras all over the property, including a camera that captures license plate numbers. It’s not connected to any database, so all it can do is be evidence for the police in case of an incident, but we have needed to use them in the past.

looked on a the Flock map, and I know what the cursed things look like.
Research. Excellent. Knowledge. Excellent.

The church would have some say in cameras pointed directly at its driveways, no?
I am guessing. But if they aren't the ones who placed it, I would lean towards them not having a say. If the cameras aren't their contract, they could appeal to whoever has the contract. But that doesn't mean the contract holder has to cooperate.
If the cameras Are their contract then yeah...

Has it been proven that these things do anything to reduce crime? Considering all the crimes committed by law enforcement abusing them for personal reasons.
We are both on the same side of that argument. I agree with you 100%
Surveillance cameras only record deeds, not prevent anything.
With just the info from before, I had to think of the possibility the church could have had security cameras put up. In such case they could be alerted if somebody broke in while the church was empty. I live in the hood. Things like that happen a lot here.
Sec cameras can give leads, possibly provide evidence of an arrest. But the warning usually doesn't do enough good, when cops are generally 7 minutes away.
Or more.
For your original question. I don't want to habit anywhere in the sight of the FLOCK.

No, I would burn that church to the ground. No hesitation.

Do you want to live under surveillance while out in public and have no choice in the matter? You can leave your phone home, or get a non-smart phone. Or no phone at all.
Lmao. There’s no more living out of sight. They know where you’re at no matter what. There’s no reversing this course. So like I said, as long as you aren’t a criminal and aren’t someone who does the wrong things, then you should have nothing to worry about. This is no worry for the people who believe in law and order. We are a nation of rules.

I do not like it when humans try to play God. This "all knowing" network of information gathering by humans is not a positive for mankind.
Civilians must counter with an "all knowing" network of information gathering by civilians of all government officials.
Then watch how quickly these networks get disbanded!!

Flock data is not stored locally in 99% of cases. They are all connected and share data across a searchable database.
Government obviously couldn’t possibly abuse such a database. They would never want to control us like sheep.
