Woohoo, people are only saving $50 per paycheck

How disingenuous of a narrative is this shite from the Left? I keep seeing it mentioned, saying it's not much of a benefit.
Firstly let's not ignore the obvious, which is that many people will see much bigger savings than this hypothetically convenient number.
Secondly, framing it this way makes it seem insignificant to the financially illiterate, which is probably most people I admit.
Compare that with "You'll have $1300 extra dollars next year". Would anyone NOT want $1300? That's a nice vacation (I'm talking strictly single filers here). That's potentially your car insurance for the year. That's potentially your electricity bill for the year.
Stick an extra $1300 in the market every year for 10 years (assuming the rates expire), with no additional principle added afterwards, and that's potentially $70,000 added to retirement after 25 years. (Assuming a 7% annual return, and adjusting for inflation)
Who wouldn't want that?
Lastly, are Progs now all of a sudden ignoring the plight of poorer individuals? An extra $50 per paycheck may be extra groceries for your children, or keeping the water running in your house.
Go tell someone clamoring to stay out of poverty that $50 is insignificant. See how they take it.
Finally the elitist side of Progs come out for all to see.

I can guarantee you that if the average rich person was being stuck for an extra million a year in taxes
and that same $50 per week person was LOSING $50, the left would act like we were bankrupting the bitch.

I might be a frugal son of a bitch, but I make 6 figures and I watch every $50 in my paycheck.

They are just sorting this horrible prosperity news out and scrambling for narratives . It’s just vapid garbage, seething Anger dressed up as analysis.

I find this line of thinking perplexing. A) it's dishonest at best. B) Hmmm, would i rather keep $50 or forget about it and let the government have it?
And the regressives know damn well that larger tax cuts, that conservatives seek, stand a snowballs chance in hell of passing with Collins, McCain, Flake, and others still there.
In short, the left knows they are in trouble and are resorting to snobbery and smugness. That worked well for them in 2016...

So, if some good Samaritan walked up to you and said, "here baw, have $50/week for a year."
That you'd tell him, "no thanks, cuz. I'm good."
You're just stupid as shite.

It can also mean rolling another 100 a month towards paying off a debt which will in turn get you out of debt faster. 22% interest credit card paid off more quickly can really help a family.
Maybe their car doesn't get repossessed and they can continue to get to work. We can build little straw men all day. The fact is, more money is better for a family than less money, period.

Libs don't know which direction to go in. They preach to us about helping the less fortunate, which companies like Boeing have announced yesterday that they are doing with the extra money that they get to save now. But then, they talk about how it "hurts" the poor and how Paw Paw has to now settle for eating dog food because he won't be able to afford a simple meal.
It's humorous at this point which narrative they are running around trying to pull our of their collective asses.

I don't think it's disingenuous when Republicans billed it as a tax cut aimed at the middle class. The cuts were massively in favor of the wealthy and corporations. And I get they pay more so their whole dollar cuts would be more substantial, but nobody forced the Republicans to frame this bill as a massive tax cut for the middle class. It's a tax cut for most of them, but it's not massive.

Of course you wouldn't think it's disingenuous when you just come on here and lie about shite.

A single mother of 3 in LA making $36,000 will see an additional credit of $1,769 under this bill. It more than DOUBLES her tax refund from the status quo, and she still gets to keep her EITC.

I don't know. Nancy Pelosi said that those 3 children might die because Mommy gets to keep that $1,769 to herself or for them.

Not massive for who? A married couple with 2 kids making $60k/year in LA goes from paying $1,608 under the status quo to a $61 credit under this plan. How much more money should they get? That same family making $100k/year has their taxes cut by nearly 40%. Trump said they'd be 35% cuts for the middle class. He under promised and over delivered here.

86% of the benefits of the bill are going to the top individual brackets and corporations. 14% are going to the lower and middle class.
