Registration leads to confiscation.

Confiscation leads to subjugation.

I will do neither.

Just guessing but as of now, I think what they'll do in the future is try to push the NFA over title 1 firearms. From there the ATF can reclassify weapons as destructive devices and even some types of ammo. The universal checks and 3 day delay being removed would condition gun owners to de facto waiting periods at the government's discretion. Its the small steps to get there is what I feel they will do right now.

That makes sense to me

I know people have been saying it as long as I’ve been alive. But we really need to buy now, while we can.

NRA and other groups have the case locked and loaded ready to file all the way to SCOTUS.

What are you worried about? JBE has always said he was pro 2A.

Just like his supposed anti-abortion stance, I bet he thought he'd never have to make a decision about it. Now the idiots who believed him are going to get a huge shock.

My out of state family is starting to call for updates and to make sure they can get in when it happens.

Texas (if we successfully secede) will be run over with immigrants from other states.

What worries me alot was the Hughes Amendment. We have never had a lawfully owned machine gun used in a crime yet new production was banned. The "you don't need a machine gun crowd" really crippled the rights of gun owners in ways we are just starting to see. I have no doubt that statistic will be used to justify the "success" of the NFA and justifications of future gun control measures.

The problem is Texas will be getting invaded from both ends - Americans from the north and Central/South Americans from the south. It's a big place but not big enough for all that.

What if they require you to supply a firearm serial number for ammunition purchases? And if they require to you log all private person to person sales through a FFL?

Yeah... I'm not going to do any of that, either.

Wouldn't that be unconstitutional at the federal level?

Already happening. I've said numerous times TX needs a wall to keep out Californian invaders worse than it needs a wall to keep out Mexicans.

The talk of this CO shooting will disappear with the quickness as the shooter is not a disgruntled whitey.

Good point

Leftists complain that the NRA is unwilling to compromise on gun control. I was reading the early history, and the NRA used to be much more open to gun control.

They realized early on though that the leftists were negotiating in bad faith, and that the ultimate goal was a total ban on private ownership. That realization completely changed the NRAs stand. It’s why they became so absolutist.

Sanctuary states. Leftists have taught us you don't have to enforce federal law you disagree with.

If they push gun control through, then former presidents and politicians should no longer need the services of the secret service, because you know “GuN cOnTroL LaWs WorK”

Look how well they work in chicago:
