Any chance this gets shot down? Or will it just get rammed through with an E.O.?

If this gets created and becomes Federal Law, it is one of the scariest things the Dems will accomplish.

Biden has proved that EOs can be overturned.

Absolutely. IMO, that would be the final push that brings traditional Americans to make a stand.

There will be many new felons following passage of a gun registry law.

Congress might pass it, I expect certain states will fight it and not enforce it. One more step toward Texas secession.

Check out how successful Brazil's gun registry is. They have a million guns registered, but over 25 million guns out in society.

I'm thinking the Universal background checks gets pushed through and the removal of the 3 day delay time limit. The Assault and mag ban will get a push but the democrats seem a little leery about whether SCOTUS will strike it down.

They will stick something or somethings to us that's a given but exactly which depends on opportunity.

I would hope SCOTUS would block a registry too. But I have zero faith in them upholding the Constitution now.

The Firearm Owners' Protection Act of 1986 (FOPA) is a United States federal law that revised many provisions of the Gun Control Act of 1968. As such, FOPA makes it illegal for the national government or any state in the country to keep any sort of database or registry that ties firearms directly to their owner. The exact wording of the provision is as follows:

“No such rule or regulation prescribed [by the Attorney General] after the date of the enactment of the Firearms Owners Protection Act may require that records required to be maintained under this chapter or any portion of the contents of such records, be recorded at or transferred to a facility owned, managed, or controlled by the United States or any State or any political subdivision thereof, nor that any system of registration of firearms, firearms owners, or firearms transactions or disposition be established. Nothing in this section expands or restricts the Secretary's authority to inquire into the disposition of any firearm in the course of a criminal investigation.”

I think it will get passed eventually.

What if they require you to supply a firearm serial number for ammunition purchases? And if they require to you log all private person to person sales through a FFL?

They could catalog many of the existing firearms.

Look up what an EO is before asking if it applies to the general public.

That would suck. But, I have a decent amount of ammo. I would rather that than what they are proposing.

No, no chance.

It'll go to the SC and be shut down.

Because I'm tired of repeating it over and over to the woefully uneducated. Teachers and their unions get paid to teach, not I. Maybe call your alma mater and ask why they failed to teach Civics.
