I personally don't think Desantis is a terrible politician or a weak conservative, I also don't believe the current political environment is the best environment for DeSantis style politics. Currently there are millions of Americans who are vehemently against the federal government passing legislation restricting abortion nationwide. Remember Lindsey Graham torpedoing the 2022 midterms for R's with his ill timed proposal for a nationwide abortion bill? Trump put that issue to the state level and that's where it should be. Many of those millions of pro death people would not vote for DeSantis, many could be swayed to vote Trump because he has allowed the states to make abortion laws the citizens of each state agree to and many of those people lean populist/libertarian.

Fine. From now on no debates. Just social media and the msm

I support republican candidates that win elections. trump lost to a political hack that comes across like Max Headroom. Yes, lost. Meetings for stolen election clowns is in the room between the flat earth society and friends of Bigfoot.

thats why i listed just the couple things Trump could point to.

trump wont debate because he would get destroyed, especially on anything other than foreign policy and im not sure he wouldnt on that too going forward.

if it wasnt clear, i dont support trump at all. Ill vote for him in the general like last 2 times but not a fan...but in the end he is much better for my pocket book than any democrat so thats the way i will vote if forced

in the end though i do think he gets the nomination and dems win the general again.

Actually getting shite done is in the backseat to talking and crowd size. Blistering social media posts are taken as Gospel, and DeSantis isn't good at social media. And he's conservative, which increasingly is frowned on in the Republican party.

Hi there!

This is what it's devolved into. Who has the best insults. And sadly, this only works because as a populace we've become Idiocracy giggling like fricking idiots when a nickname is tossed out.

We get what we accept.

I'd love for old style, formatted and timed, ACTUAL debates about issues to take place. This isn't a gameshow, it's a bit more important than that. I want to know what candidates are about, I want to know what they think about things on a deep level. I don't care at all about them sparring on stage, arguing like idiots or trying to land that perfect zinger.
